Story
Please consider sponsoring a cat. For a little as $10 a month you can help us help more animals in need. Raccoon Kitty was so named because she runs like a raccoon, with her tail straight out behind her. She is a 7 year old, very sweet lady.  Raccoon Kitty was rescued as a kitten and has been fiercely loved by her humans for her entire life. Sadly, she needs a new loving home because her human faces a terminal illness. Raccoon Kitty won't be a turn-key cat. She is a little shy and will need time to acclimate to a new home and new people. Raccoon Kitty is searching for someone who will give her time to be shy for a few weeks and not expect a lap kitty on day 1. She is positively worth the wait. Raccoon Kitty gets along fine with feline friends.  Cyd died on 1/26/25 and Raccoon is waiting for new humans.  Raccoon's adoption fee is $150.  Included in each adoption: age appropriate shots, microchip, and spay/neuter surgery. All kitties are litterbox trained. Prior to meeting or adopting any of our wonderful kitties, we ask that you please fill out our online Cat Adoption Application on our website aaFlorida.org/adopt.  There is a link on the top of the home page. Click on "Fill in", you don't have to register.  For more information about this kitty or any others, you can contact us at Adoptions@aaFlorida.org.  We are a foster organization and don't have set hours we are open - but we will gladly set up an appointment for you to meet any cat.  Of course, you're under no obligation to adopt if you come to meet any of our fabulous felines.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 10, 2025, 10:39 am

Story
Please consider sponsoring a cat. For a little as $10 a month you can help us help more animals in need. This is Sweetie. She is a beautiful girl who adores human attention and gets along ok with her many kitty roommates. She is more of a loner and would likely enjoy being an only cat. Sweetie enjoys her catio time each day and snuggles in her bed at night. We think it would be hard for her to be in a home without a screened-in porch. Sweetie is well loved but her person faces a terminal illness. Sweetie needs a new furrever home where she will be equally loved and receive the attention she craves.  Sweetie's adoption fee is $150. Included in each adoption: age appropriate shots, microchip, and spay/neuter surgery. All kitties are litterbox trained. Story
Juliet is an extremely sweet 13-year-old kitty with beautiful silver fur. A little skittish around strangers, she is very friendly once she warms up to someone. She enjoys being held and getting lovings for short periods, but also values long nap times in a quiet room in front of the window. Juliet's skittishness tends to invite bullying from dogs and she will defend herself with her front claws, so she should not be in a home with dogs or even alpha-male cats, though she should be fine with other calm kitties like herself. Though she has all her claws, she's content using a scratch mat rather than furniture. She has recently been diagnosed with some kidney issues that require her to be on a diet of prescription kidney care soft food. She also needs medication for hyperthyroid. It might be a long shot, but we are hoping to find someone who has a heart for a special needs cat and can afford the food and medication, in order to give her a loving home for her remaining years.
