Story
Beauregard is an older, gentlemanly tuxedo cat. He is very social and affectionate. He came to the shelter in pretty rough condition, but a little TLC and this boy is starting to really turn around. Sadly, it was discovered that this old man is FIV+. It's always the sweet ones that get beat up. We guess him to be about a 8-10 years old. FIV is not a death sentence, however. He can live a normal happy life with other cats as long as the cats get along and don't fight. FIV is only contagious through deep bite wounds. Beauregard seems to be unphased by everyone and everything and just so loving despite the rough life he has lived. If interested in meeting him and adding him to your family, please fill out our adoption application on our website at EffinghamCountyHumaneSociety.org

Story
Hi, my name is Sandy and I'm about 7 years old. One of the Bond County Humane Society volunteers found me along the interstate looking emaciated, dehydrated, and covered in ticks. I was so small she thought I was a kitten. When I was examined by the veterinarian it turned out that my teeth were not in good shape, so they have all been removed. I can eat as well as ever.  I am on a special diet of hypoallergenic food because I was having a reaction to my regular cat food.  I am cautious with new people, but then I will warm up and enjoy being held. I like to watch the other cats in my community room but I am cautious about interacting with them. I am litter-box trained, but sometimes I miss and go over the side. I am available for immediate adoption.  I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee is waived.  If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at  www.bondcohumane.org .  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request. Story
Hi, my name is Oreo and I'm about 14 weeks old.  I was found stray with my littermates with a feral mama cat. We were rescued and brought to Bond County Humane Society so we can find loving furever homes. we have been living in a foster home since we were 11 weeks old.  I am a quiet sweetheart. I will start purring almost as soon as you pick me up. I am well behaved and play well with my siblings. No rough housing or biting. I also love chasing the little ball on a string that my foster mom pulls around. I love finding a quiet corner and taking a beauty nap.  I am available for immediate adoption.  I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee is $130. If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at  www.bondcohumane.org .  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request.
