Story
April: The Independent Fluff Queen Who’s Waited 1,125+ Days for Her Kingdom! Hello, my furiends! We’re showering you with April’s adorable pictures in the hopes that this May brings her a forever home! 🌸 April is a fluffy, fabulous almost 4-year-old who has spent 1,125+ days at the shelter, patiently waiting for her special human. Could that be you? April has a BIG personality and isn’t afraid to let you know exactly how she feels. She’s a girl who values her independence—she enjoys attention, but only on her terms. If she’s not in the mood? She’ll give you a look that says, Not today, human! She’s also not a fan of being picked up, but once she trusts you, she’ll happily accept pets and those oh-so-good side chin scratches! She absolutely loves other cats, but they need to respect her boundaries. She thrives with playful, friendly feline companions who understand that she may need a little time to warm up. Once she does, she enjoys playtime, lounging together, and just being part of the crew. A home with another respectful, cat-savvy feline is a must for April! April thrives on routine and enjoys knowing what to expect. Loud noises and quick movements aren’t her thing, so she’d do best in a calm home without young kids. She needs a patient, cat-savvy adopter who understands that love on April’s terms is worth the wait! April’s journey hasn’t been the easiest—she was once a sick little street cat, but with time, care, and lots of love, she blossomed into the playful, curious, and affectionate girl she is today. Now, she just needs someone willing to respect her space, understand her quirks, and let her be the queen she was meant to be! 1,125 days is far too long to wait for a forever home. If you’re looking for a cat who is equal parts independent, playful, and full of personality, April is ready to make up for lost time! 💕 Thank you for your interest in adopting from Scruffy Paws Animal Rescue! Story
Look at this cat. Isn't she neat? Wouldn't you think your family's complete? Wouldn't you think she's the girl? The girl who has a home? Ariel wants to be where the people are. She wants to be up where they cuddle, up where around the house she may run, up where she has a cozy spot to lay out all day in the sun...wanderin' free wasn't the place to be, wish she could be...part of your world. Little Miss Ariel is a darling 2 year old fluffy grey tabby. Don't let her shy demeanor fool you; once she allows you to become a part of her world, she will demand you shower her with lots of pets! Ariel is playful and curious. She isn't fond of being held or handled. Ariel loves to be around other cats. She will thrive best in a home with another kitty companion. Ariel is a sweet girl; with a bit of patience and a lotta love, she will be her best cat self! Thank you for your interest in adopting from Scruffy Paws Animal Rescue! Story
Hello, furiends! You will marvel at this little one. Welcome Black Widow, a female, domestic, long-haired super kitty! Black Widow is approximately a year and a half old and full of playful energy and curiosity. If purring was a superpower, then she possesses the greatest superpower ever given to a kitty! Black Widow is gifted with peak kitten strength and stamina, pushing her sister out of the way to ensure ALL the attention is hers, especially if a squeeze-up treat is involved. She is shy at first, but once she is comfortable, she is a sweet little love bug and will rub up against your legs to let you know how lovely and adorable she is. She is excellent with other cats and will need another cat in the home. We are unsure how she will be in a home with dogs or other animals. If you have children, we recommend older children over 5. Story
🚀 Meet Mariner – The Satellite Kitty with a Fluffy Tail and a Big Personality! 🌙 Mariner’s journey has been a long one—he came from a hoarding case where he lived with many other cats. Now, he’s ready to land in a loving forever home! This mahogany-black beauty has silky medium-length fur and the fluffiest tail in the galaxy! But his tail isn’t just for show—it’s got a special quirk! The bones at the very tip are a little crooked, though you’d never notice just by looking. And don’t worry—it doesn’t bother him one bit! When you’re giving him pets, he’s way too busy soaking up the love to think about anything else. Now, Mariner may have a bit of a dramatic streak—he’s known to hiss when startled, but don’t be fooled! His hisses are all bark and no bite. It’s just his quirky way of expressing himself. He’s never aggressive—one moment, he might give you a little warning hiss, and the next, he’s rubbing against your legs like nothing ever happened! Mariner has lived with many other cats before and could do well with feline friends, especially those who understand his space and sass. If you’re looking for a cat who’s a little spicy, a little sweet, and 100% out of this world, Mariner is your guy! 🌌💫 🐾 Apply to adopt Mariner today! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeIajjm_jGd_qWFOOuX0R9-348wMUj8l9KfXu7J_Zyw5w8uMw/viewform Thank you for your interest in adopting from Scruffy Paws Animal Rescue! Story
Hello, my furiends! Meet the one and only Ringo! You wouldn’t believe the transformation this fluffy guy has been through! When Ringo was rescued from the mean streets of Rhode Island, he was malnourished, messy, and covered in mats—but just look at him now! This handsome, chunky hunk of a cat is living proof of what a little love (and a lot of good food) can do. At just 3 years old, Ringo has already spent two years at Scruffy Paws, and while we love his daily greetings at the shelter, it’s time for this silly, fluffernutter to find his furever home. He’s got a goofy grin, a heart full of love, and an undeniable obsession with feather wand toys! His long fur will need a little brushing to keep it soft and shiny, but he’s totally worth the extra effort. While Ringo can be timid at first, a few treats and some playtime will have him jumping and dancing for attention in no time. Ringo will need a home with a confident, people-friendly cat, as he thrives with feline companionship and you can often find him racing and wrestling with his feline friends at the shelter. Ringo has not been tested around dogs or other animals so we are unsure how he'd be with them. Given his shy nature at first, we think adult only home or a home with older, respectful children would be ok. Ringo’s Special Needs Ringo has been diagnosed with feline asthma, which he will have for life. He requires an inhaler mask for treatment and needs a home that can accommodate his condition. Feline asthma can be triggered by dust, smoke, fragrances, and aerosol sprays, so his new family will need to take steps to minimize those irritants. He also requires special respiratory relief litter to keep him breathing easy. We know this might sound like a lot, but trust us—Ringo is worth it. He will reward you with endless love, silly antics, and plenty of purrs! We’re happy to guide his adopters through any questions or concerns about his inhaler and care. Could Ringo be the perfect addition to your home? Thank you for your interest in adopting from Scruffy Paws Animal Rescue!
