Story
Hello, I'm Twinkle Toes. I'm no kitten, but don't let that fool you. I'm as spicy as a jalapeno and as independent as they come. I once lived with a pack of cats, but when a dog moved in, I hightailed it outta there. I don't do dogs. Or kids. They're too noisy. Now, I'm a shelter cat, but don't pity me. I'm brave, litter trained, and I've got a love for other cats that rivals my love for tuna. So, if you're a cat lover with a quiet home and a dislike for dogs, I'm your gal. Adopt me and let's rule the world together, one tuna can at a time.More information? Call Marion Area Humane Society at 740-389-6548 or email at manager@mahspets.org

Story
This is a courtesy post for a lady who must find homes for the cats, Daisy and O, that live in her apartment.  We are asking that Daisy and O be adopted as a pair. O is a gorgeous orange tabby who weighs 17 pounds and is declawed, vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and negative for feline leukemia/FIV. Daisy and O were separated to see if they could be adopted by themselves, but they both stopped eating and are a bonded pair who must have a home together. There is only one adoption fee for both of them.  Daisy was a stray who was fixed during a trapping project and has an ear tipped ear. The maintenance people later trapped Daisy and took her miles away to get rid of her and some of the other cats. Daisy found her way back home and showed up at the window looking for her family. The lady let her in and she has stayed inside ever since.   Daisy is a gorgeous long-haired tortoiseshell cat. Her hair is so soft. It is like little bunny fur. She is about 2 years old. She is fixed. She has had her vaccines updated, been microchipped, and treated with flea preventative. She did test positive for FIV or feline immunodeficiency virus.  Cats with FIV can live very long and happy lives. They cannot pass the virus on to other cats except by deep bites or from nursing moms passing the virus to their babies. Daisy has lived with two other cats, including O, for two years and both of them are negative. FIV positive cats can live with negative cats with no fear of passing it on to the other cats. A good article about FIV positive cats is below: https://www.vet.cornell.edu/departments-centers-and-institutes/cornell-feline-health-center/health-information/feline-health-topics/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv Daisy is a little shy at first, but once she has warmed up to you, she is very loving.  If you would like more information on Daisy and O or to request an adoption application, please email us at bandocats@gmail.com  August 16, 2024, 7:01 am

Story
Meet Janky, a handsome black and white Domestic Longhair with a distinct crinkled ear that looks tipped, adding to his unique charm. Born around 05/27/2020, Janky has striking gold eyes and a fluffy white chest that make him a standout beauty. He is the definition of a sweetheart and absolutely adores people. Janky will come up to anyone for love and attention, thriving on being petted and brushed. He has a particular fondness for wet food and broth. Janky is a social butterfly who effortlessly wins hearts with his gentle and affectionate nature. He was caught through our TNR program but is way too sweet to be feral, indicating he used to live with people but was abandoned. Janky is neutered, vaccinated, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. He is bonded with Slim, a smaller female cat, and they must be adopted together. This loving duo brings twice the love and companionship, ensuring you’ll never have a dull moment. Janky’s easy-going and loving personality makes him an ideal companion for any household. His unique appearance and affectionate nature will bring joy to your home, and with Slim by his side, you’ll have a perfect pair of furry friends.
