Sampson was found in rural Licking County, seemingly dumped... He is extremely sweet & friendly, and enjoys pets & human attention. He is not a fan of other cats or dogs at this time and would require some acclimation to learn to live with others. Sampson has a $100 adoption fee. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. If you would like to adopt, please fill out the application through the link or the website at -www.whiskersofohio.org - please note that the "I'm interested" tab on Petfinder does NOT act as an application, this should only be used for specific questions before committing to an adoption. You will receive an email confirmation when your application goes through. We make no breed guarantees, we are a rescue, not a breeder. Please only apply for a specific kitten if you are committed to adopting! Our workers are all volunteers and it takes time to process applications. We are a registered 501c3 non-profit organization, with ZERO paid workers or admins. Free transport is regularly available to Wayne/Holmes County areas! We do have the ability to fly a cat or pair of kittens via Southwest's SWATT program to any location served by Southwest Airlines. It isn't free but has been a great way to transport animals in a timely manner.

Meet Winter. He was found outside, inside bushes around my apartment's parking lot. He was friendly as I approached him which was concerning cause the cat was not feral. I spent a couple of weeks looking for an owner and in the meantime, I would visit him by the same bushes. During one of the visits, a man stepped outside and I asked him if he knew whose cat it was. He said it was his cat and asked if I wanted it. He explained that he got the cat through a friend who was put into the hospital and was unable to take care of it about two years ago, but he has had it since. The man also mentioned that he cannot take care of the cat properly due to his work schedule. He did not give it a name and did not have any paperwork with the cat. I decided to foster the cat and make room for it in our spare bedroom that I had been using for school. I can't keep him cause my other cat has anxiety. Winter needs a loving home and kept indoors. He also loves to play, nap, cuddle and has the cutest meow!

Bella is 3 years old. Birthday around May/June. I got her from a friends friend who had extra kittens in 2021. Bella can be clingy, she loves being rubbed on and catered with affection. She stays mostly to herself, sleeping throughout the day. She loves being in the window where she can look outside. She does good in baths as long as the water is ran first. She is shy, but once she is comfortable she will open up to you. She has a personality of her own lol and is very good at ignoring you if she’s in that mood. She can be a little feisty towards dogs at first but again once she’s comfortable she’s no longer in defense mode
