Clayton Male Dob approx November 2021 Clayton was rescued May 2023 when he had been showing up regularly thru the night at our feeding station. He came in and showed us he had potential as he didn't show any aggression. He was definitely scared but accepted pets even if he didn't like them. Over the last last year Clay has been living the good life! He is fostered with many kitties and 2 large breed dogs. He gets along with all the kitties of all ages but most enjoys the younger ones that will wrestle and play with him. Clayton is very food motivated and will always join his foster mom on the couch- just within arms reach in hopes to share her evening snacks. He is very polite about it and will take treats from the hand gently. He does NOT enjoy touch and will shy away from being pet. He is very visible in his foster home, coexisting with the dogs even if he hasn't made friends with them. He hangs out from a distance observing and comes quickly for treat time. Some would say Clayton is not adoptable, why would you post him for adoption if you can't handle him?? We have hesitated for months to post him with hopes he will learn to trust enough to enjoy being pet. We feel he is just as deserving as any other kitty, we just have to find him the right person. He may never be a lap kitty, or he might turn into the biggest snuggler once with his very own people. There is NOTHING more rewarding then winning the love of a semi-feral kitty ❤️ Right now he lives in a home where his foster mom runs a rescue, works fulltime away from the home and cares for double digit animals. Unfortunately he doesn't get focused socializing time. We have faith that there are other loving, crazy cat people, that would welcome and love Clayton for who he is, a beautiful long haired silver tabby. Clayton NEEDS other cats in his furrever home - the more the better as he truly is a cat cat. 😻 Clayton is fully vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. MEET ZEUS! He is such a super lovely, lanky, chill boy. He loves being brushed (which will be a requirement) and playing with toys He came to us very thin and matted so unfortunately looks a little bit "rag-a-muffin" with bald patches where he had to be shaved. He is also a bit of a voracious eater and his tummy is still trying to adjust to regular meals so he is on a gastro food from the vet and it may take some time of feeding him the gastro food before he is able to be slowly switched over to another brand. Zeus is good with kids and cat friendly/respectful dogs and will very quickly make himself right at home. He has been introduced to the resident kitties in his foster home (and is better with some than others) but we think he might be happier as the only cat in the home. Looking for a good company?? Zeus may be your guy. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and had parasite prevention treatments. He's had his nails trimmed by his foster mom and was a true gentleman. Cheddar (and his brother Reece) are ideally looking for a home together. They will fit in well with most home situations and get along quickly with other cat friendly cats.
