Story
Feral is anything but,she was a stray I took in temporarily for my neighbor. Unbeknownst to me she was pregnant. She had a healthy litter, all the kittens found good homes.I kept her because my neighbor led me to believe she would be taking the cat.Long story short 3 years later I still have her.I’m not in a situation to see her to the end of her life,my living situation is very precarious.I wish my circumstances were different but my reality isn’t good. She is a furniture and counter surfer who does scratch furniture even when provided with horizontal and vertical scratch surfaces. She does not care to be picked up or carried but it is not difficult to get her in a crate for a trip to the vet.She loves to cuddle and appreciates conversation. She is indoor only and has never tried to escape. She wants to be with people, not reserved. She deserves to be loved and cared for.Do not consider her unless you are willing to allow her to sleep with you and are ok with her resting on you.

Story
Meet Lovey Cubby, an Empress if there ever was one.  This gorgeous girl is a 7-year-old long-haired beauty with a heart as fluffy as her luxurious coat—well, almost!  Before her owner left her behind with a friend, Lovey Cubby’s beautiful fur was shaved down for some puzzling reason.  At the moment it is much shorter than normal but give it about three months, and she’ll be back to her full, stunning fluffiness.  We have pictures of her with the long fur at its natural length and two pics of her currently with shorter fur. Lovey’s soft fur flows like silk when fully grown, and her big, expressive eyes are always filled with curiosity and affection. This 8- 10 pound girl isn’t just a cat—she’s a little shadow, always wanting to be where you are. Cooking in the kitchen? She’s supervising. Taking a shower? She’s waiting patiently by the door. Curling up with a book? Well, expect a warm, purring companion right on your lap.  Originally, Lovey Cubby’s owner was supposed to return home after a temporary stay abroad. Due to unforeseen circumstances we are now having to find her a permanent new home.  A new loving home where she can continue to be the affectionate, cuddly queen she was born to be.  Her favorite lovebug things to do are ..human chin scratches, belly rubs (on her terms, of course), and cozy nap spots—preferably right next to you. Her purr? It starts up the moment you so much as glance her way. She’s playful but gentle, with a love for lounging in sunbeams and chasing the feather toy when the mood strikes. This precious Lovey girl has so much purr-fect love to give and just needs someone who will give it right back. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal, and utterly adorable feline friend, Lovey Cubby is ready to steal your heart!  Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.  She is fully vetted and spayed and microchipped.  Hurry…we hear a stampede in the background of people wanting this perfect Empress of the Cats.March 16, 2025, 11:41 pm

Story
GARFIELD – THE PROFESSIONAL CUDDLE EXPERTGarfield wandered into the life of the rescue lady who found him last November seeking a meal. Once she started feeding him, he decided to make her home his own. He mysteriously disappeared for nearly a week at the end of December, but when he returned, his ear was tipped and appeared to be neutered. His foster mom has 4 cats already and soon she learned that Garfield truly had a strong desire to be the one and only cat in the home.  Broken hearted, his foster mom , Rachel, has asked Critter Cavalry Rescue to please help find him a wonderful home where he can reign as King Supreme.  He has been an outdoor cat but was brought inside during the extreme cold weather.  This was when he made his true desire known to be the only cat in the house.  He’s not a fan of mingling with other cats or dogs, so he enjoys his own space. Despite this, Garfield is wonderful with people and seems to adore everyone he meets. We truly believe he would be the perfect lap companion for any person of any age. His age seems to be about 2-3 years old and he weighs almost 13 pounds.  Handsome and fluffy and wonderfully loving.  Don’t miss this boy if you are a one cat household that wants a snuggler and a fluffy ball.  Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are wanting to adopt a boy like Garfield. Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.March 28, 2025, 10:18 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Clair! This DIVA is ready to settle in for her remaining years with a comfortable and loving home.  Claire's owner passed away, leaving her all alone. She has had many admirers who would love to take her home, but she is a NO OTHER CATS kind of gal.  A quiet environment would suit her best.  She is loving, yet independent (typical kitty)!Clair would love to have a home with windows that she can look out of...not too much to ask! If you can put on cat tv with birds that would be even more perfect! She is perfectly content to play on her own with her favorite toys (that will go along with her, of course)--balls with bells, and her banana toy. She loves Fancy Feast wet food and treats! Clair has a slight cloudiness in her right eye. The vet says it doesn't bother her, and she's likely had it since birth.  She possibly has limited vision in that eye, but other than that, it is of no concern. Clair is up to date on vaccines, spayed and FIV/FeLV negative. Clair is currently isolated in a foster home since there are other pets in the home. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Update:Leila (on the bottom) is a striking longhair and a pretty big-sized lady. She has warmed up to her foster Mom considerably since coming to her current foster home and will sometimes accept being petted when approached calmly. Although she certainly spends some time outside in the enclosed yard of her foster building, she spends the majority of her time inside, usually on a cat tree or comfy bed. She seems certain to be a real homebody and will be a beautiful presence in a quiet, traffic-safe barn home. Leila and her long-term companion, Croissant, continue to be closely bonded and are adoptable only as a pair. Original Post:Leila is a sweet but cautious kitty who is quite shy around most people. She might eventually allow a person she trusts to pet her, but doesn't want to be picked up or held. She does well with other cats, but has had no direct exposure to dogs. Leila will most likely be happiest as a barn cat in a quiet barn environment in a traffic-safe location. Adoption together with her close friend and companion, Croissant, is a must!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Adopting from The Cat Shack The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home.
