Story
Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue SHY BUT SWEET BROTHERS Meow! Our names are Sonic and Shadow. Our estimated date of birth is 2/16/2023. We are sweet brothers who find comfort in one another. We are sweet and gentle. We are calm and relaxed. We are interested in toys, but are still learning how to play with them. We are undersocialized and need a patient adopter who will allow us to go at our own pace. We are skittish and will approach you for attention when we're comfortable. We will slowly approach you, sniff you for some time, and then expect to be petted. We will rub against your hand and quietly purr for you. We take time to adjust to new environments. We are skittish and can be easily spooked. We are good with other cats. We have never been around dogs. We would do best in a home without children. We are at the kitty corner, ask to meet us today!Meet the #CatsOfGettysburg - Apply to adopt at bit.ly/AdoptFLR and we will help you find the purr-fect kitty for your family!  Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm.  All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted. Please note that while we work hard to keep our available cats up to date we also have many  that are not posted yet.  Adoption fees are $60 for adult cats and kittens over 6 months old, $100 for kittens (under 6 months) and $30 for senior cats (7 years+) to help cover vet bills for spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, testing, microchips and preventatives.  No cat will be officially adopted without being spayed/neutered and vaccinated (unless there are health risks in doing so).  We highly recommend adopting kittens in pairs and we do discount for double adoptions here to encourage it.   We are always in need of donations to help us continue to save hundreds of cats and kittens every year.  Visit bit.ly/DonateFLR for more info. Be sure to check us out on Facebook at  bit.ly/KittyCornerFB and "LIKE" our page and share our posts! Story
Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue Jameson has a very laid back kitten energy about him, he is very active and playful but also is a cuddle bug. He will definitely be a lap cat for the right loving family/person. He loves to follow you around the house and “help” with chores and cooking. He wants to be present in his humans life. He absolutely loves all his foster brothers and sisters and loves to wrestle with some of our younger boys. He does show restraint around the other cats and can read them very well. He loves to talk and give head bumps, he also loves kisses on his forehead. He is very gentle with his claws but he is still a bit scared of loud noises. Jameson is currently in a foster home, but meetings with him can be easily arranged.Meet the #CatsOfGettysburg - Apply to adopt at bit.ly/AdoptFLR and we will help you find the purr-fect kitty for your family!  Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm.  All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted. Story
Meet Puddin! This handsome boy came to us in November 2024 alongside several other cats after their owner was no longer able to care for them. Puddin has not been the quickest to adjust to the shelter environment and would love to find a quiet home he can call his own! Puddin is a pretty timid cat and can often be found tucked under his blanket alongside his best buddy Midnight Mouse. He loves gentle pets and once he is familiar with you, is happy to be held. An easygoing home that will allow him all the time he needs to adjust and let his personality shine would be the most beneficial to Puddin! When he thinks no one is looking, Puddin does like to bat around a toy or will roll around with one and have fun playing that way. Puddin is very attached to Midnight Mouse and can almost always be found with her. We would love to see them go into a home together or at the very least with another cat to keep them company. Stop in and visit with Puddin if you have some extra love and patience to give! Puddin is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

Story
Fergie is currently with a foster, and would be a semi-feral type barn cat placement. She has shown no signs of wanting to be an indoor cat during her time in foster, and the shelter feels a barn cat placement or indoor/outdoor placement would be the best option at this time.Cats that are not offered for general adoption are offered as `barn home adoptions`. A suitable barn home would be a barn or an outbuilding (shed, garage, warehouse, etc.) that would provide adequate shelter for the cat/cats. All cats going to barn homes are spayed/neutered, FeLV tested, rabies and distemper vaccinated, ear tipped, and microchipped. By offering the cats for barn home placement, it allows them a positive outcome from the shelter. Cats being offered as barn homes are generally cats who have previously been outdoor cats, semi-feral, or feral cats. Because our barn cats typically need special handling, we request that their adoptions be done by appointment. Please call the Feline Department to schedule one at 410-848-4810 ext 822. If no one answers, please leave a detailed message with your name and phone number, and the call will be returned by end of business Monday - Friday. Adopters can prepare for their appointment by being 21 years of age or older, having permission from their landlord to bring a feral cat onto their property, and having some form of ID that shows their current address. All barn cats must be taken home in a hard-sided pet carrier (no soft-sided or cardboard carriers), provided by the adopter.
