Story
Meet Dainty Miss! She is a 11 year old petite lady who was loved very much by her previous owner and it shows. Unfortunately, her owner had to give her up due to health reasons. She is very quiet and enjoys a life of leisure. You won't have to worry about 3am zoomies with her. She will need vitamin supplements and requires wet food only. Her favorite thing is taking naps with her human and she makes the cutest biscuits. She does not like other cats and should be the only queen in the household. Missy is microchipped, vaccinated, spayed and available to an INDOOR home only. Fill out an application to come meet this darling. Adoption fee is $100.

Introducing Coco, a delightful 4-year-old long-haired girl who is ready to find her forever home! With her striking coat and unique personality, she is sure to capture your heart. Coco is a cuddle enthusiast! She adores snuggling up with her human and will happily make biscuits on your lap for hours. This affectionate girl thrives on companionship and will always seek your love, making her the perfect lap cat. Coco would thrive best in a calm household without children, as she can be overwhelmed easily. Patience and understanding are key to helping her adjust and flourish in a new environment. Coco is litter box trained and well-behaved when it comes to staying indoors, so you won’t have to worry about her making a break for it. However, she is notorious for sneaking treats, so be sure to keep any food covered or out of reach! Coco would benefit from a home where someone is around more often. With a little time, love, and consistent guidance, Coco will undoubtedly become the delightful companion you’ve been searching for. Coco has a sister, Margo, also available at www.rescue-me.org - If you're ready to open your heart and home to one or both kitties, Coco and Margo are waiting to meet you!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hey, I'm Felix! Yes, I'm that fluffy tabby with the *fabulous* tail and some seriously unique black markings. I was born around August 2024 and saved from the streets by my amazing foster mom, who has learned the art of deciphering my "sassy side. Now, I'll be honest-if you get too close too quickly, I'll probably growl at you. It's my way of saying, "Hey, give me a minute! But don't let that scare you away-I absolutely *love* to be snuggled once I've had a moment to adjust. It's a bit confusing, I know, but that's just me being charming in my own, unique way! I'm good with kids and other cats, and while I'm still figuring out dogs. Treats? Yes, please! I'm a huge fan of those, and I'll show you how sweet I can be for just a little snack. But, because I'm a bit shy, I'll need some time and patience to really settle in. A small, quiet room where I can't hide is the best way for me to feel safe and get to know you. Hiding just slows things down, and I'd rather not waste time! I'm litter-box trained, up to date on all my vaccinations, microchipped, neutered, and on preventative flea meds. I'm ready for a home where I can take my time to be the confident, snuggly kitty I know I'm meant to be. So if you've got a soft spot for a fluffy, slightly grumpy, but ultimately lovable guy like me, let's make some hilarious memories together!

Story
Beautiful, long-haired sisters Reddiwhip & Egg White are two of five siblings rescued from the streets when they were three-months-old.  They play well together and would prefer to be adopted together.  Their other three siblings are with another FHS foster.  Because they survived three months of being homeless, they are getting more & more comfortable each day with trusting and being held.  Therefore, they are not a great match with small children at this time.  Egg White has more black than Reddiwhip.Interested in one of our cats/dogs? First step it to fill out the required adoption application. We do not adopt to anyone living outside of the Dallas/Fort Worth area. All our cats/dogs will be spayed/neutered, heart worm tested (dogs), FeLV/FIV tested (cats), microchipped, and current on vaccinations. We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. We review all applications received to ensure that the animal and the applicant are a good match based on our personal experiences with the animal.
