This cat was my father's cat that he took in as a stray some 12 years ago. My father passed away in November and I need to find a home for the cat. She is very shy and would only go to my father. She is a cute cat and when younger, would go out and play with the neighbor cat. However, she is old now and stays indoors 24/7. She is house trained. She will not come to me despite the fact I have been feeding her and taking care of her at his home. I have known this cat for 12 years and she has never come to me or anyone else except my father. She runs and hides from everyone despite kind coaxing, etc. I don't want to see the cat put down and would like to give it a chance. My dad loved this cat and she kept him company for many years up until his death. I feel like the cat is an extension of my father and I want to find a good home for her. I would try to take the cat in, but I have two large dogs that are not cat friendly and even if they were, she is not dog friendly.
