Story
Frosted Flakes is a 6 month old neutered male who is up to date on this vaccinations and is microchipped! Meet Frosted Flakes! Frosted Flakes is currently rocking a lion-cut, but is on his way in growing back his long luscious coat. Because of his longer hair, he will need an owner to help him keep up maintenance of his fur (which will lessen hairballs and matts!). He is a sweetie pie who grew up without much human contact, so he is a little late to the indoor life/human world, but so far he is not complaining! His favorite time to be pet and soak up the love is when he's snacking--he even raises his butt high in the air! Frosted Flakes is getting used to being held/carried and while begrudgingly accept it (for now--over time he is bound to open up more). He does however love to be pet while in your lap. Frosted Flakes also has such a grown-up, manly, husky voice for being such a small dude. When he makes noise, it is surprising to hear it coming from his smaller stature! He has a resting old man face, and that's just him, but it definitely adds to his cuteness! Frosted Flakes would do best in a home that can set aside a confined, smaller enclosed space while he adjusts to his new home and fam, using positive association with treats (he LOVES Temptation Puree treats) and wet food is a great way to build trust. Frosted Flakes has lived in his foster home with numerous other kittens and does great with a feline companion! He finds great confidence and confides in his furry feline friends, so he is required to be in a home with one. Due to his often timidness and evasive nature, he would do best with low energy dogs and kids over 8 years old who can better respect his boundaries and give him the time and space he needs to adjust.

Story
Buddy Boy is an ~ 2 - 1/2 year old neutered male. He is current on his vaccinations, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative! Meet Buddy Boy! Buddy Boy is a BIG, handsome, and sweet guy who is waiting to find his purr-fect forever home. He came into the shelter as a very shy and more reserved kitty who took some time to adjust but after just a little bit of time he has started to show us his truly sweet personality. He loves gentle pets - especially head and chin scratches - and enjoys just simply hanging out next to his favorite people. He is a very mellow and low-key kitty who enjoys his solitude and relaxing his days away whether he's curled up in a comfy bed, lounging next to a sunny window, or hanging out with his feline friends. With a little bit of time and space, there is no doubt that this big guy will be his new persons very best friend! Buddy Boy is a sweet and low-key kitty who is looking for a calm and quiet home where he can continue to come out of his shell. So, he would prefer a family with slightly older and respectful children at least 8 years of age or older who understand that he may prefer his space at times. He currently lives in a communal living area here at the shelter and loves the other cats he resides with! In fact, he is much more confident and outgoing with another feline friend by his side so he is required to go to a home with another cat. He should do ok with other respectful pets in the home too given slow and proper introductions to one another. Story
Koala is a transfer from an overcrowded shelter; she isn't so sure about us humans here at DHS, but with time we are positive she will warm up and be as loving as she previously was. Koala has a soft, lush coat that would relax anyone after a hard day's work; once she is comfortable, she will allow petting and even give some head nudges to your hand for more attention. Koala has not been tested with other kitties yet, due to her not wanting to leave the comfort of her kennel.Don't pass up this beauty; she is sure to make a wonderful lap warmer! “I come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. Story
Moon and Sun are sweet brothers who would love to find a home together, but it is not a must.Moon is more outgoing than Sun and is a beautiful, mostly black, long-haired guy who likes a good cuddle once he is used to you. The shelter life has proved to be a lot for Moon currently, but each day, he peeks his head out a little further and wants to investigate what you are doing. He has lived with other cats but has never been around young children or dogs. Moon would do best in a quieter type of environment with low traffic for new people where he can learn to be confident in the world around him.“I come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org.
