Story
We adopted Mouse and another cat with him 4 years ago. We have two large dogs and over the years Mouse has become very afraid of the dogs and mainly hides in the basement. He has started licking his legs raw- the vet thinks due to anxiety and not enough stimulation. He now has to wear a cone because of the bleeding all the licking is causing. He is a very friendly cat and cuddly after he warms up to you. He gets along with the other cat and is friendly toward people. My husband and I are expecting our first child in a week. I worry Mouse will continue to not get enough attention and he deserves a better quality of life.

Story
Meet Moose. This orange fellow is hoping for a second chance at finding his forever home. He is a quiet and independent boy, who prefers things on his own terms. Moose is a bit shy and needs extra time to adjust to new situations. When he is comfortable he enjoys neck scratches and gentle pets and will roll around for them! He can take a bit of time to warm up to you, but when you are his person he is oh so sweet. In his previous home he peacefully coexisted with other cats.• Quiet and independent• Lived with other cats previously• Would do best in a quiet homeMeet Moose at our shelter during public visiting hours (no appointment needed), Tues/Thurs/Fri 1-6pm or Sat 11am-3pm, or visit www.oahs.org/cat-adoption-process for more information about how to adopt. All adoptable cats from OAHS are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations, tested for feline leukemia, litterbox trained and microchipped.
