Pekoe likes touch and cuddles on her own terms, and for this reason she's looking for an adult only forever home. Her foster-mom brushes her and she loves to purrrr and knead, but will walk away when she's had enough. Good thing she enjoys being brushed, because she has a long luxurious coat that any adopter will need to help her maintain. Pekoe isn't going to be the kind of cat who wants to be pet and held all day - instead she will come to you for affection when she desires and will otherwise love to be near you while she watches out the windows and chats with the birds. She also sleeps under the covers with her current foster parents! Bird-watching is her FAVE activity. You can often spot her fluffy toes sticking out from her cozy bed, and she'll spring out to say hi when you enter the room. Jazz is very easy to love! If she wants treats, she will go to the treat bucket and head butt it, so you notice she is there. Then, she will come to you and put her paw on your arm to get your attention, without using her claws. Jazz is extremely well-behaved and gentle. She quickly grew accustomed to various household noises and sits calmly on the couch. While she may be shy to begin with, she has a wonderful personality. Jazz loves to be petted and touched. Due to her long fur coat, regular brushing will be required so it doesn't get matted. Luckily, Jazz likes to be brushed! She has a mild heart murmur and no treatment is needed. Jazz has special food and a supplement to optimize her health. Once you gain her trust, Jazz will still be a little timid but will always be very gentle. Being a shy girl, Jazz would do best in a calm home with no other pets and if there are children present, they should be older. She will be fine left alone while you are at work, as long as the work day is not too lengthy. Jazz needs an experienced adopter who will give her the time she needs to adjust to her new home and then her sweet personality will emerge!
