Story
Hi, I'm Olaf and I'm a cuddly boy. To meet one of our adoptable pets or to start the adoption process, please access the adoption application on our website, www.crossroadsanimalrescue.org or download and email it to crossroadsanimalrescuesc@gmail.com. We will then approve you (sending in the application does not obligate you to adopt) and we can set up a time for you to meet one or more of our pets. You can then pay the adoption fee and officially adopt after meeting your new family member. Alternatively, you can do the adoption over the phone before meeting your new pet. The benefit to this is that we will hold the pet for you. However, the adoption fee is non-refundable if you changed your mind after adopting over the phone. Most of our pets are obtained from animal control and therefore we are not certain of their breed or breed mix. We list breed mixes that they most resemble or that their former owners said they were. However, we don't make any guarantees about breed - it is a best guess! Our adoption fees include the spay/neuter surgery, deworming, vet exam, and up to date vaccines. It also includes microchipping as well as heartworm testing or feline leukemia testing. We are happy to adopt out-of-state (and even out of the country!) but transportation for the adopted pet is the responsibility of the new pet owner. If you cannot adopt a pet at this time but would like to support our rescue, please click on the "Sponsor a Pet" button. Your donation will help feed the dogs, cats, small animals, and horses at CARE. Please email at crossroadsanimalrescuesc@gmail.com or call us at (864)972-9906 for more information. This phone number will reach Crossroads Animal Hospital, which is the home of CARE. During business hours, a receptionist will be able to speak with you regarding our adoptable pets. After business hours, the only way to contact CARE is via email. Our puppies and kittens are also eligible for 10% off the rest of the vaccines in their puppy/kitten vaccination series at Crossroads Animal Hospital. Most adult pets are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Puppies and kittens may have the surgery before adoption or we may have new owners return later for the surgery. Story
Meet Caroline Caroline is one of our "Vampire Diary" kittens and we just can't believe these girls haven't been adopted yet. They are about 8 months old and just like their namesakes, these girls are all sweet and sassy and full of life! Caroline is a gorgeous medium hair grey tabby with silky fur who looks identical to her sisters Elena and Bonnie (We keep colored collars on them to tell them apart). She is quick for a game of wrestling or tag with the other kitties, or a snuggle with the other kitties in our kitten room. All of these kittens were raised by a wonderful foster so they're so super sweet and affectionate and would quickly settle into a new home. Caroline will fit right into any home lucky enough to adopt her. If you can offer a safe indoor home for Caroline, and maybe one of her sisters, please submit an application on the homepage of this website www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org Please call our shelter at 706-865-4135 or email us at smithgallhumanesociety@windstream.net to verify that we received your application. . All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out of state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the shelter website: http://charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.

Story
Meet Binx Anyone who has seen the movie Hocus Pocus will know instantly how Binx got his name. Binx is an adorable little kitten just 6 months old. He's a fuzzy little boy with medium length hair (kind of a black/brown) that just grows every which way. He has the cutest face and big ears that he still needs to grow into, and the biggest purr you ever heard! Binx was rescued by a local good Samaritan who took him in, took care of his medical treatment, socialized him, then asked if we could find a permanent home for him. He is so confident, it just took him a couple days to fit right in our community kitten room. Binx is full of fun, love, and personality and did we mention how cute he is? If you can offer a safe, indoor environment for Binx, please submit an application online at: https://www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org. On our home page, please click "How To Adopt." Once an application is submitted online, you will receive an email saying your application has been successfully submitted. If you don’t receive this email within 24 hours, please check to make sure all application fields were completed or please call our shelter at 706-865-4135. Story
I wanted to introduce Miki! She came to us very VERY shy but has since opened up so much! I have truly loved getting to see her full personality bloom but the time has come for her to find her furrrrrever home.  I believe she would thrive best in a more quiet home or at least quiet until she gets fully adjusted to a new place. She’s been great friends with my resident cats so I think a friend or two would be great for her! She has the cutest meow, purrs like a little refrigerator, is as soft as can be and omg her eyes are adorable!  Kittens and Cats are spayed or neutered, feline leukemia/FIV negative, microchipped, appropriately vaccinated, and treated for parasites. They are available to inside only homes where they will not be declawed. Applications to adopt can be found at harthumane.org. Our adoption fees include the spay/neuter surgery, deworming, vet exam, and up to date vaccines. It also includes microchipping as well as heartworm testing or feline leukemia testing. If you cannot adopt a pet at this time but would like to support our rescue, donations can be mailed to Hart County Humane Society P.O. BOX 1062 Hartwell GA. 30643 or online at harthumane.org. The Hart County Humane Society is an all-volunteer rescue, we receive no government funding and rely on donations to fund our lifesaving programs. ##2182800##

Story
I’m Spice Chai, a sweet long-haired Tabbyco with just a little bit of spice to keep things interesting. I’ve spent quite a while here, and I’ll need some time to adjust to a new home, but I promise I’m worth the wait. I enjoy lounging around and relaxing, and when it’s time to eat, you’ll see me come running—wet food is my favorite! Though I may be a bit shy at first, with patience and love, I’ll become your perfect companion. If you're looking for a laid-back kitty with a touch of spunk, come meet me and see if we’re the right match! I have been spayed, feline leukemia/FIV negative, micro chipped, appropriately vaccinated and treated for parasites. The cats at the Hart County Humane Society are available to inside always homes where they will not be declawed. ##819631##
