Story
Meet Mabel, a young beautiful ebony-coated cat with a heart full of love, just waiting for the right person to share it with. Her journey started as a skinny stray, but despite the odds, she found her way to safety—and decided to stay. Now, Mabel lives in a home with other animals, but deep down, she longs for a place where she can be the center of attention, without having to compete for affection. Mabel is a little shy at first, but once she realizes you’re a safe and loving person, she’ll blossom into the most loyal and affectionate friend you could ever wish for. She’s not just looking for a home; she’s searching for a quiet sanctuary, where she can snuggle up with a human who understands her gentle spirit.  Mabel’s dream is to find a cat-savvy person who will cherish her for the special soul she is—no other pets, no small children, just a peaceful life filled with love and companionship. If you’re looking for a best friend who will love you unconditionally, Mabel is ready to fill that spot in your heart and home. Mabel is spayed, up to date on vaccines, dewormed. Story
Hello! My name is Ebony. I came into the Humane Society as a stray with my 5 Kittens. When I first got here I was pretty scared and would hide a lot! The staff here have been working with me and I'm slowly starting to come out of my shell and have been accepting all of the pets!!

Story
Meet Buddy! If photos don't show please visit https://www.adoptapet.com/shelter/68850-watonwan-county-humane-society-st-james-minnesotaBuddy came to our shelter on 6/7/2024.She was living in a home with about 15 other kitties and her owner could no longer take care of them all.Buddy is SO sweet and affectionate! She loves to be held, pet, and cuddled. She has a spunky, playful side as well. Kitty toys are fun and just wandering around the shelter to explore is fun, too!Buddy has a reduced adoption fee, due to a medical issue. She has had 1 1/2 polyps removed from her throat that were causing breathing problems and discomfort. She is a bit wheezy, with mucous discharge. This may be something she'll always deal with. It doesn't seem to slow her down, however.Buddy is calm, with spurts of energy and playfulness. She is a beautiful gal, inside and out.Buddy seems to do well with other cats, with proper introductions. Buddy has been with us for a long time, so we'd love for her to find her home soon! Her estimated birthdate is 6/23/23. She is spayed and vaccinated. Please submit an adoption application at watonwan.weebly.com_________________Please Note: We ask that an application be filled out before coming to the shelter. If pre approved, a meeting with the animal will be set up. To fill out an application, go to http://watonwan.weebly.com/adoption-application.html, All animals are current on vaccinations, sterilized and given flea/tick preventative. Cash or check only.
