Story
I acquired my cat in March of 2022 off the street. She was a kitten living with her litter in an old home a friend of mine recently purchased. Before he brought the litter and mother elsewhere, I decided to adopt Luna. After her initial shots and checkups, she was living with me in my apartment in Illinois, before moving down to Kentucky with me later that same year. As she grew, I realized (having never owned a cat before) I needed to get her spayed and from there she has been with me. She is estimated to be a little over the age of 3 now. She is loving, and has a very vocal “purr”. She does not hesitate to squish her face into yours if she’s “feeling the love”. You can find her either sleeping soundly in a comfy spot or exploring around. She’s fairly skittish around most people, including myself, but does warm up to you very quickly if you’re just sitting around somewhere

Story
Meet the crew: Franklin, Lamer, Tanisha, and Tonya! They were brought to The New Albany Floyd County Animal Shelter at just four days old, after losing their mom. They have been cared for by several foster families, who worked hard to bottle feed, clean, and nurture then into the healthy young cats they are. All of these kiddos have met other cats and dogs in their foster homes and done well but may do best with slow introductions. Franklin is the brave big brother. He is up for any adventure and is extremely curious. He is a great snuggler and purrs incessantly. He is also very proud of the white tip on the end of his tail! Lamar is the more reserved little brother and takes some time to warm up, but once he’s comfortable he will cuddle up next to his favorite person! He appreciates his alone time as well, so don’t be surprised if you find him curled up on a windowsill, soaking up the sunrays. Tanisha is a long lanky big sister. She loves to have her head rubbed and be held like a baby. When she’s around, make sure to hide your scrunchies unless you don’t mind sharing as they are one of her favorite toys!Tonya is the petite little sis. She demands that you pet her and loves nothing more than giving solid head bumps to her family. She is an absolute purr-machine! Her sweet eyes are the windows to her soul. If you are looking for a kitten or two to take up space not only in your kitchen sink during nap time but also in your heart, please visit nafcanimalshelter.org to fill out an adoption application. They are all already altered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Their adoption fees are $20 each! When submitting an application, please fill out the “Adoption Application” found under the Public Forms tab not the “Interested in this animal” Petango link.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
This gorgeous diva may be small (5 1/2 #), but she has a huge personality. Her likes include Pepperidge Farm cookies, unsecured trash cans, and obedient human servants who shower her with love and devotion. Her dislikes include other cats, almost all varieties of cat food, and being locked out of whatever room you're in. If you're wondering whether you'll know if she's happy or not, have no fear-Sniquers will let you know. Loudly. And persistently. Sniquers was found wandering outside, and judging from her behavior, she probably survived by scavenging from fast food dumpsters. She is drawn to anything greasy, salty, or sugary, and she will absolutely do her best to get inside your kitchen trash can to help herself to whatever is in there. She refused to eat cat food (wet or dry) when she arrived at her foster home, but she is now eating at least two types of wet cat food. (She loves Weruva Grandma's Chicken Soup and Stella & Chewy's Carnivore Cravings Salmon, Tuna, & Mackerel.) She is very, very picky about her cat food and will refuse to eat non-preferred foods. Instead, she will go looking for any human food you may have left within her reach. Living with Sniquers requires an excellent sense of humor, a clean kitchen, and a willingness to adapt to her as she works through her bad habits. She is very sweet and snuggly, and she enjoys chatting with her people after a long day. She would prefer to be an only cat.
