Little Prince here! I'm a 4-year-old in need of a new fur-ever home. I eat an RX diet for a digestive issue. I have my own cat tree, toys, and litter box so I'm ready to move in! I am fully up-to-date with my last wellness visit at Heartland Faribault in July 2024. I am back in the adoption system at no fault of my own. My person recently passed away and I am looking for my new person to love and hang out with. I was the only cat with my family and would do well in a similar home setting. Perfect for all those “one pet only” rentals if you’re a renter! I have a very laid back disposition and loved my person. I would learn to love you too! Meet Toby! Toby is a lovely 2 1/2 year old boy who is a love despite all that he has been through. He was an indoor/outdoor cat and has been found to have an auto immune disease that seems to flare seasonally due to allergies. He is now on authority skin and coat food and is no longer on Prednisolone. It is likely that he flared while getting into something while outside. Keeping him inside and loved will be the key. I found lucky when he was about 8 weeks old. He has had many years in a loving home but due to a change in health, relocation and a hectic schedule, I can no longer give him the care he deserves. He is a sweet boy but can be a bit grumpy. He loves to lay on your lap or stomach if you are laying down. Or lay right next to you while watching TV. He truly deserves to be with someone who can give him all the love and attention he deserves. Lucky is spunky, fiesty, and loves his treats. He is not declawed and isn't a fan of having his nails trimmed. He does like to play but can be a little aggressive when playing. He isn't a huge fan of other animals but does ok with his cat sister Floppy (who I will also need to rehome).

Niko or how we call him “Atlas” came from Washburn County Area Humane Society. He is estimated to be 2-3 years old. He is the most loving and caring cat. He never bites and has lots of love aka lick kisses to give. Extremely easy to handle, likes to be cradled like a baby. Perfect cat for kids as he doesn’t mind how he is held and approached. Can be very silly when he has zoomies. Does well in car rides. Loves to sit on your lap and sleep with you in bed. When I’m gone for school and working he can be left alone for a long time just fine. With the circumstances of some allergies that have gotten worst to the point of asthma, I need to find him a new home as much as it hurts me to do so. This wonderful cat will need a home where he can be true to himself and run around, sleep, and have people who would give them double the love he shares.

Jason is a sweet, calm and loving buff longhair born in September 2024. Jason loves to lounge and play and be held and sweet talked. Jason would love another cat in his home to be with, as he has never been without his brother and sister before. Jason would be a wonderful addition to any family. All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition. Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed. If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only.
