Story
Frank is a lovebug, talkative and mischievous. He is super pleasant, friendly and good-natured. Frank is chill, relaxed and lounges around on the porch with his human companion. He will occasionally get a burst of energy and run around the house. Frank walks really well on a leash and harness. He releases his vigor by pouncing and catching a toy at the end of a kitty wand. Frank's ideal home is with an individual, couple or family. He is composed and amiable with other cats and a cat-friendly dog. Frank is 10 years old with a blue medium length coat, golden yellow eyes and a left crinkled ear. He is in early-stage kidney disease; therefore, must be on a special diet, otherwise Frank is doing very well! Story
Hunter is lovable, playful and adventurous . . . he is a darling! Hunter likes to snuggle in bed with his human companion whether it be in between your legs or under the covers. He gives kitty kisses on your hand and nudges you with his head when he wants attention. Hunter will nab his spot as “teacher’s pet” as he is a great helper. He isn’t the biggest fan of being held, but will tolerate it. Hunter loves to chase after any toy, but becomes a ninja when a cat spring is tossed his way! He is skittish of loud noises, such as, a vacuum cleaner or dishwasher. Hunter enjoys treats with all of his heart, especially freeze-dried chicken! He is accustomed to riding in a cat stroller and sun bathing in a screened-in porch. Hunters ideal home is with an individual, couple, or family; he has been witnessed with children 11+ years old, but should do lovely with younger kids. Hunter accepts cats of all ages and will benefit the most by having a cat buddy to play with while his human companion is away. He has done well being around a cat-friendly dog and has been noticed rubbing on a canine. If a dog startles him, he will walk away. Hunter is a brown tiger tabby with a medium length coat and flaunts ear furnishings. As of December 2024, Hunter is 9 months old. Story
Puddin is gracious, pleasant and friendly. She enjoys basking in the sunshine, rolling around on a rug, rubbing in cat nip, screaming at her green sparkly ball and she is especially enthused about mealtime! Puddin is a typical feline when it comes to cuddles. When she wants attention, Puddin will caterwaul at her human companion from across the room. She occasionally chooses to be alone with some privacy but will eventually miss the company of her human companion. Puddin communicates love and affection with a head bump (take it as a complement!), love bites and the most endearing cat kiss! She has an obsession with a green tinsel cat toy that she will stand over and meow at it until she decides to smack it around on the floor or carry it in her mouth. Puddin seeks out the lowest level of a cat tree but prefers a soft cozy bed on the floor. Her ideal home is with an individual, couple or family; Puddin has done well with children who are gentle. She is accustomed to being around felines of various ages and is used to an energetic dog that she chooses to keep her distance from. Puddin is 10 years old with a solid white medium length coat and shows off green eyes. She is a large feline weighing in at 11 pounds. Puddin is diagnosed with chronic kidney disease (CKD). She needs to drink plenty of water and eat quality protein soft moist food. At times she will produce an oily coat that will benefit with assisted grooming. Overall, Puddin is bright, alert and responsive. Friends of Jackson County Animal Shelter Pets (FJCASP) is a foster-based rescue for dogs and cats.
