Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Top o the mornin' to ya! Meet Maeve. This Irish lass may just be the most playful kitty you have ever met. The best part of Maeve's day is chasing the string toy with her person. She is also quite content to entertain herself with most any toy followed by a well deserved nap. Prior to coming to Tenth Life, Maeve had very little socialization with people. She is a very sweet and gentle girl, but is extremely timid especially with new people and surroundings. Maeve has gained confidence and made so much progress in her foster home. She now enjoys getting pets and will make a very cute high pitched squeak when she wants them, and has even turned into quite the snuggly lap cat. She likes being picked up, getting kisses, and following her foster mom all around the house. Maeve is not only beautiful but has the most soft and silky fur, and this little lady will fit just perfectly in the crook of your arm while lounging on the couch. It will likely take Maeve some time to adjust to a new family and place, so she would do best in a quiet home with a very patient adopter. Once you gain Maeve's trust, she will be incredibly bonded and love you forever. Playing with Maeve is the absolute best way to get her to come out of her shell. Her silly and fun personality is sure to bring endless joy to an adopter. Maeve is not a fan of the resident cat in her foster home so she would probably do best as the only cat in the household. Maeve has minor GI issues which are managed well with a prescription diet. Maeve would love to finally find her forever home. Because she will likely be timid during a first meeting, we're recommending that potential families meet her for the first time virtually to see her as her most normal self. Apply to meet Maeve today!

Story
Meet Prosciutto! This gorgeous, silky girl is SO special. Her experienced foster parents have never met such a conversational cat with such a large vocabulary (so many different sounds and intonations, all with different meanings). She deserves a person/family that wants to learn her language and appreciates and enjoys her communication style as much as we do. Prosciutto was found on the streets in South City, matted, hungry, and with an untreated ear infection (which is why she has a perma-cauliflower ear that only makes her more adorable). She's now been spayed, vaccinated and vetted, and is ready for her forever home. Prosciutto is a very sensitive and at times anxious soul (not a fan of change or not knowing where her person is). She is a very gentle cat, and has never shown any signs of aggression. She LOVES all women/femmes and will relax, hang out, accept and ask for love, and bond pretty quickly. She has also done well with smaller, quieter men. She was anxious/scared/hiding, but did OK with gentle and quiet children that understood cat body language and consent (plus treats...she loves 'em!). She's intimidated by deep/loud male voices and larger/taller male bodies, and is still jumpy with her amazing cat foster dad, just because he's a bigger, louder guy. She's always more relaxed when it's only the ladies at home. Due to her separation anxiety, we believe she'd do best with constant or near-constant loving companionship, whether in human or animal form. She is not a lap cat, but requires love, pets and snuggles throughout the day, and always wants to be close to her person/people. She is just starting to figure out how to play and is mostly interested in strings and string wand toys at this time. She is a litter box and scratching post champ! It seems she may have been raised around dogs based on some of her behaviors, and she has shown interest in our outdoor feral cat that visits, dogs walking past our house, and kitten and cat videos. I think she might do well with other pets as long as they are relatively calm and gentle. She could potentially be an amazing kitten foster mama! There's so much more to say, but trust us, this girl is one of a kind. If you think Prosciutto could be your perfect forever family member, we'd love for you to meet! www.tenthlifecats.org/adopt

Story
Romeo's estimated DOB is: August, 2009. We're looking for an experienced cat owner to be Romeo's special person. Romeo is a friendly and affectionate guy. He will follow you around from room to room and is very loving. He likes to be in your lap. He has the personality of a Turkish Angora and soft bunny hair. He is the kind of cat that does not hide when there are visitors and comes out to visit. However there are times when he can be kind of a DIVA and lash out when he is overstimulated and done with affection. So small children are not recommended. He is still very playful and loves toys that move, like mice on wheels, little fluff balls etc. He would love to have an owner that would allow him to sleep in bed with them and be on their lap a lot. Romeo lives with big, medium and little dogs, has lived with other cats in the past. He does have a tendency to pick on other cats depending on their personality. Romeo needs to eat wet food at least once a day. Currently he eats Fancy Feast Broths and dry food in the morning. At night he gets a half of a small can of wet food. Romeo tests positive for FIV. Please don't let his condition scare you away - FIV kitties can lead long, normal and healthy lives simply by being kept indoors, receiving good nutrition and care, and getting annual veterinarian check-ups – all things that every cat should receive. FIV is difficult to transfer to other cats and the primary transmission route is through a deep bite wound. It is not an airborne disease nor is it contagious through shared food dishes, litter boxes or grooming. You can learn more about the FIV virus by going to http://fivcats.com .Now that Romeo is becoming a senior kitty, he has had some health issues. However they are easily manageable and his foster Mom would be happy to discuss. We only adopt to people in the St. Louis METRO area. Story
Meet Demmi and Danni, two beautiful sisters who have been patiently waiting for their forever home for over four years and ten months (that's a staggering 1787 days). Despite their undeniable charm and beauty, these lovely felines have been consistently overlooked time and time again. While over 100's of their foster siblings have found their loving families, Demmi and Danni have yet to receive a single adoption application. But why have they struggled to find a home, you may ask? The answer lies in their shy nature. Demmi and Danni are in need of a patient and understanding family who is willing to invest the time and effort to show them that they are safe and loved. They yearn for a quiet and peaceful home environment, ideally with someone who is looking to adopt bonded sisters and has no other pets. While it's understandable that many people are drawn to the adorable cuddliness of kittens, adopting these resilient sisters would be a truly rewarding experience. The joy that comes from giving two shy cats a chance to flourish, watching them grow to trust and believe that you are there for them, is immeasurable. By opening your heart and home to Demmi and Danni, you will not only be saving them but also providing them with a lifetime of love and companionship that they so deserve. We kindly ask you to share their story far and wide. Together, let's make it possible for these extraordinary sisters to find the loving home they have been patiently waiting for. With the collective effort of compassionate individuals like yourself, we can make a difference in Demmi and Danni's lives and bring them the happiness they so deeply deserve. We only adopt to people in the St. Louis METRO area.
