Story
We live in an apartment complex where, unfortunately, some people part with their animals when they move out. This mild mannered and very friendly cat came to find us. We have been feeding him and watching out for him for around 2 months now. He is social and belonged to someone at some point. We would adopt him, but we have 3 cats of our own. He is very low key and would love to spend his years with a good home!

Story
Pico De Gato has been vaccinated, wormed, spayed/neutered and tested negative for FELV which is all included in the $35 adoption fee. This cat is FIV positive which means that their immune system could become a little weaker than a non FIV cat. FIV cannot be transmitted to humans or dogs and is only transmitted to other cats through mating and deep puncture wounds. It is not spread via grooming or sharing food bowls or litterboxes. So as long as they like other cats they can be adopted to a home with them whether the existing cats are FIV or not. FIV+ cats live long happy lives and usually live just as long as non FIV cats. If you would like to adopt this cat, you must come into the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 12-4. (Closed Mondays & Wednesdays) All cats must leave the shelter in a carrier. If you do not bring one with you, one must be purchased at the shelter if available for $6

Story
Funny, playful! Loves to snuggle. He’s sweet. Well behaved! Great personality & interesting. 3 days, 3 Weeks, and 3 Months. Bringing home a furry new family member can be one of the best days ever! But transitioning to a new home is often one of the most stressful times in an animal's life. To help make this transition as smooth as possible, it can help to break it down to 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months.

Story
My name is Basil and I'm patiently awaiting a new family. I was rescued from right in front of Groovy Plants. You know the cool plant place that folks come from far and wide to visit? I was named after a favorite herb plant myself. Pretty cool huh? Well I've learned a lot during my tenure here at the HSofMC but it's time to move on to bigger and better things. A family to love, a home to settle in and arms to cuddle with. I get along with other cats, not dog tested, good with all people including children. I'm affectionate but quiet. You can visit me at The ARC at 16 S Main St. Mt Gilead. Can't wait to meet you!!
