Hi there, my name is Bellestar and I am looking for a new home through PAWS-OK.  They rescued me, my mom, and my three littermates from the Bethany Shelter in April.  We all had caught upper respiratory infections there and mine was the most severe - affecting my eyes especially.  For a while we though possibly my right eye would need to be removed, but the doc, at the time I was spayed, said it was healthy, just fogged over, and suggested a steroid ointment to help it.  As of this bio, we are working on it.  The eye gives me no trouble. I love to play with my siblings and do all kitten related things. (I don't like the ointment much though!) UPDATE 1/1/25:  The steroid ointment didn't resolve the issue as we hoped.  Anyone considering adopting her should already be established with a veterinarian and have the finances to remove the eye if it becomes necessary.  Generally speaking eye removals can run anywhere between $500 - $900. PAWS-OK is a small foster based non profit rescue operating in the OKC area since 2008.  All our cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, tested for feline leukemia and FIV, up-to-date on their vaccines, litterbox trained and fostered in a volunteers home.  We are committed to placing our rescues in the most loving homes that we can, regardless of how long it takes.  Our kittens are kept with their mothers for as long as possible and not offered for adoption until they are at least 16 weeks of age.  A handful of our available felines can be seen in the PetSmart Adoption Center in Rockwell Plaza (8357 N Rockwell) during normal store hours.   If you are interested in adopting a new cat from PAWS-OK  for your family, please go to our Adoption Request form at https://form.jotform.com/pawsokrescue/adoption-request-form.  Your Request will be processed by a PAWS Volunteer who may reach out to you via email to clarify your information if needed. Processing normally takes 2-3 business days.  If your request is approved, an Adoption Counselor will contact you to set up a phone interview or a time to meet with them at our Adoption Center.  If we cannot help you, we may redirect you to other sources for a cat that may better fit your situation.  Thank you for looking at our available cats and kittens.  If you have any questions, please reach out for us at pawsokrescue@gmail.com.   January 14, 2025, 2:16 pm

This sweet kitten is looking for a loving home. She is 3 months old, weighs 5 lbs, and loves to play. She gets along with other cats. She also loves to snuggle with her humans. She has damage in both eyes. The left is worse than the right. It doesn't affect anything but her peripheral vision

Shy boy but worth the wait!!! Howard is a  six-year-old boy who does well with dogs and cats. He loves to be pet and brushed. But is shy and will take a while to warm up in a new situation, but boy does his personality shine once he warms up.  I've really enjoyed seeing him blossom and get healthy and loving in our care.   The nice people who are caring for me asked me to let you know that all the adoptable cats are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, up to date on vaccinations, and given a broad spectrum dewormer . Super loving social butterfly! Panda is a very sweet and loving cat who is hungry for your attention. He was surrendered by his owner who could no longer care for him. Storm is a spunky little girl. She’s energetic and likes to play. Very sweet and very loving once she’s used to you.

Batcat is one year old,fur is the softest I’ve ever felt before.will let you rub on her belly and do cat yoga anywhere she can. She’s so sweet and has a carefree attitude. Nothing bothers her. I do let her outside every now and again but I’m always there with her. She will sleep anywhere but will be playful with my kids and loves chasing a laser

Hi, I got my kitty from a mutual friend as a kitten. He is very energetic and can be sweet. He doesnt like to be touched often, but he will come to you if he wants some physical attention. He's isn't the best with children, as he plays with teeth and nails often. He is 8 months old. Im looking for a home that he can thrive and live as comfortable as possible with a happy living family.
