Story
Puffy came into care in March 2025 when a nice couple asked the rescue to find him and his siblings forever homes. The family had them since they were kittens and took great care of them.    Puffy was born in August 2024 in New Cumberland to an outside kitty.  The family that brought them to rescue brought them in their house when the weather got cold.  Puffy i s a fun little guy.  He is a talker and will often greet you with his little meow.  When you start talking to him and petting him, he becomes a rolly polly hairball.  Although, h e has not been around children, with his personality, I do believe he would be OK  Puffy currently lives in a foster home in Palmyra.  He lives with his siblings and other fosters and 3 dogs.  He has gotten to take his time getting to know them and now doesn't seem to mind them at all.   Puffy's adoption donation is 175.00 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and neuter/spay. If you would like more information on him please contact Pam at lovingcarecatrescue@gmail.com. Story
Looking to find a loving home for a wonderful cat named Equinox. (Also answers to: Eek, Peep, Peeper, EeperPeeper, etc.). Equinox was rescued from a storm drain at my work and is approximately 3 years old. He is an incredibly sweet and affectionate cat. Despite his gentle nature towards people, he has had some difficulties getting along with my older cats, leading to a few unfortunate fights. These altercations have resulted in him needing stitches in the past and he is currently on fluoxitine for anxiety. To ensure everyone's safety and well-being, I have recently been keeping Equinox in a separate room. However, this is not a long-term solution and it breaks my heart to see him isolated. I truly believe that Equinox would thrive in a home where he can be the center of attention and receive all the love he deserves. Equinox is neutered and has had shots, but he isn't up to date as he is an indoor cat only. I am more than willing to get these updated if desired!

Story
Bud showed up in the spring and has been living outside and on our back porch since. I already have outside and inside cats and am trying to slim down. He is ok with other cats once they get used to each other. He is very friendly towards most people. He is like a gentle giant. Good cat if you don't want a real energetic cat. I had him to the vet recently. Had rabies shot, clean bill of health.

Story
Shale is an adult male cat who is estimated to be 2-3 years old. He was caught as part of a TNR project but was in rough shape, so it was decided he would stay indoors long enough to heal before being put back. During his stay it become apparent that he is actually a friendly cat who is believed to have been raised by people and either lost or dumped. Over the months I have had Shale, I have seen him transform from a skeleton of a cat to a fluffy and playful boy. He likes to play with toys such as mouse toys, spring toys, and other individual toys that can be batted around, but he especially loves to play in the tunnel and to pounce on things. A wand toy that is pulled around a corner and/or object is his favorite to pounce on and he has one of the best butt wiggles. When he's not playing, Shale is a relaxed guy who likes to chill in a cat bed or on a chair nearby. A sunny spot is always a go to or my computer chair, which he steals from me every chance he gets. He likes to be pet, not near his butt or tail, but all around the head, his chin, and especially the bridge of his nose. He is not very vocal, but has meowed when locked into a room. His cuddliness is untested as he is currently limited to 2 rooms, neither of which has a bed or couch. Since Shale is of unknown origin we can only speculate on him, but it seems he may have been raised alone as he has trouble interacting with other cats. It appears that he wants to play and interact but doesn't understand that other cats might not immediately like him. He comes across as almost aggressive in his behavior due to his actions, such as staring at the other cat and walking right on over without caution. Due to this, it is not recommended that he be adopted into a home with another cat unless adopter is experienced enough to do a very slow introduction and aware that it might not work. Additionally, Shale needs an experienced cat owner as he has a few bad habits from being raised alone. He is very playful, but doesn't understand that his claws and teeth can hurt you. It is likely that he was played with as a kitten and learned that a person's hands are toys and doesn't know not to be rough. We have been working with him and he has reduced this behavior tremendously, but it does still happen, so he should not be adopted into a home with any young children for safety reasons. His nails can be cut, he is reasonable about it. Petting Shale is a game of chance sometimes, once again due to his playful nature he will try to wrestle your arm. He is not very used to being picked up but tolerates it for a minute before wiggling to be put down. He does not like being brushed but he does need it occasionally. Overall, Shale is a good cat, who with more training and proper correction can become a great cat. He needs someone patient who is willing to work with his flaws and love him for who he is becoming.

Story
Marilyn and Monroe are the sweetest kittens that were dumped on a farm close by. Marilyn is very reserved and laid back and Monroe is a ball of energy that loves to keep Marilyn on her toes. These two do everything together and must be adopted as sisters, from eating, to using the litter box, to playing, to snuggling up for nap time, they are always together. Monroe has this huge personality and is always in the go. She loves to be held and in your arms or lap at all times. She is extremely playful curious and very bold. They are both per machines and love attention. Both are fixed vaccinated and tested negative for FIV felv and heartworm.

Meet Willow, the Sweetheart of our shelter! This precious girl is just waiting for someone special to give her the loving home she deserves. With her sweet and affectionate nature, Willow is sure to steal your heart with her love for cuddles and head rubs. She may be independent at times, but once she's in the mood for love, she'll come seeking it out with open arms, even wanting to snuggle up in bed with you. Don't be fooled though, she has a playful side that shines bright as well! As the queen she is, she prefers to be the only cat in the home and would do best without children, that way she can soak up all the attention for herself. If you're looking for a furry friend who knows how to appreciate the simple things in life, Willow is the perfect companion for you.

Story
Ben was rescued from a shelter with his brother around four years ago. He has had behavioral issues since we moved and had our daughter. He would do best as the only pet in the house but does get along with other cats and dogs. He just needs a quiet house but we can’t provide that with a young child.
