Story
Very sweet cat. Affectionate, playful, beautiful coat. So soft and fluffy, I think he has some persian mixed in with him. I have moved in with a family member who has a dog couldn’t take Oreo with me because the dog doesn’t like cats and Oreo is afraid of dogs. A friend is fostering him for me until I can rehome him. I have him on a waiting list with the Humane Society for months now. I really need to find him a home for him. He’s a sweet guy who would make an ideal pet for someone who is looking for an affectionate buddy.

Story
Meet Allie and Amy, two very sweet sisters born in 2020 who are looking for a nice home where they can explore and also lay on a quiet windowsill or next to their person. These two girls will thrive in a home where someone is around and can dote on them. They do love each other and will look for each other. Both adore pets and to be rubbed on their bellies, flopping over for easier access! Allie and Amy are probably best in a quiet home, though, but they adore people and aren't shy. They don't have a problem with other cats, and haven't really been exposed to dogs. Older kids would do great for them, as well as a senior in an apartment. Come meet them and you won't be disappointed! Amy has a short coat and is smaller than Allie, who has longer hair that is black but has a hidden white layer underneath. Their joint adoption donation is $115 which includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing (negative for both), microchip, and spay. If you would like more information on Amy and Allie, please contact Ellyn at lovingcarecatrescue@gmail.com or 717-608-6837. Story
Belle Star is a sassy pretty medium haired young lady with a big personality who really represents her name.  She was named Belle Star as you could tell she was once a beautiful cared for kitty.  Her sassiness has come in handy to get her where she is in her short 2 years of life and now she needs a perfect forever home.  Belle Star was found on a walking path at the Swatara Creek in September 2023. As you can imagine she was not in the best shape, very under weight and matted.  She was taken to the vet the next day and was cleaned up, groomed, tested, and dewormed.   During her exam it was discovered she was spayed already.   With this information, Found Kitty ads were placed in the area she was found and local Vet Clinics were contacted to try to find her owner.  A young girl saw her posted and contacted the foster to come see if it was her kitty "smokey".  It was shared, "Smokey" now Belle Star, was left with an ex boyfriends mother who said she would hold on to her until the girl could secure housing, however, she put her outside to fend for herself.  Unfortunately, her owner was not in a position to care for a cat and was still in the process of trying to secure her own housing, when she saw the post of Found Kitty.  So "Smokey" stayed in the foster's care until the owner could get on her feet.   Smokey was in foster care for almost a year before her owner was able to be in a place she could take her back.  Unfortunately,  the girl only had her back for about 6 mo before she contacted the foster again and asked to surrender her officially due to a housing situation once again.  Belle Star as you can imagine is a very resilient little girl.  With that resiliency comes her sassy personality.  She is a one person kind of kitty now.  She attaches to her person and while in the foster home, was always near by.  Her Foster home has other kitties and 3 dogs all of which she tolerates, however, everything she has been through it is recommended she go to a less busy or quiet home with children who are older or no children.  Her personality is dominant so it is recommended she be an only kitty or be with another pet who will let her be in charge.   Although, coming into care from outside in that poor condition, she is super healthy, however, her coat needed some grooming to get some mats out and she needed quite a few pounds put on.   Since she has returned from her previous owner, she is in the condition she left the foster home in, healthy, groomed and taken care of.   Belle Star's adoption donation is 125.00 and includes up dated vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip and of course she was spayed previously.  If you would like more information on Belle Star please contact Pam  at lovingcarecatrescue@gmail.com. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Venus...this diminutive love bug is well deserving of being named after the goddess of love. Despite very rough beginnings that have left her emaciated and rough coated, she has never stopped being full of affection. Since arriving in rescue, her coat has begun to fill in and it looks like she will have medium length fur and a plume tail. Her coat colors are unique and her cherry on top is the small heart she wears on the tip of her nose. Story
Looking to find a loving home for a wonderful cat named Equinox. (Also answers to: Eek, Peep, Peeper, EeperPeeper, etc.). Equinox was rescued from a storm drain at my work and is approximately 3 years old. He is an incredibly sweet and affectionate cat. Despite his gentle nature towards people, he has had some difficulties getting along with my older cats, leading to a few unfortunate fights. These altercations have resulted in him needing stitches in the past and he is currently on fluoxitine for anxiety. To ensure everyone's safety and well-being, I have recently been keeping Equinox in a separate room. However, this is not a long-term solution and it breaks my heart to see him isolated. I truly believe that Equinox would thrive in a home where he can be the center of attention and receive all the love he deserves. Equinox is neutered and has had shots, but he isn't up to date as he is an indoor cat only. I am more than willing to get these updated if desired!

Story
Bud showed up in the spring and has been living outside and on our back porch since. I already have outside and inside cats and am trying to slim down. He is ok with other cats once they get used to each other. He is very friendly towards most people. He is like a gentle giant. Good cat if you don't want a real energetic cat. I had him to the vet recently. Had rabies shot, clean bill of health.

Story
Shale is an adult male cat who is estimated to be 2-3 years old. He was caught as part of a TNR project but was in rough shape, so it was decided he would stay indoors long enough to heal before being put back. During his stay it become apparent that he is actually a friendly cat who is believed to have been raised by people and either lost or dumped. Over the months I have had Shale, I have seen him transform from a skeleton of a cat to a fluffy and playful boy. He likes to play with toys such as mouse toys, spring toys, and other individual toys that can be batted around, but he especially loves to play in the tunnel and to pounce on things. A wand toy that is pulled around a corner and/or object is his favorite to pounce on and he has one of the best butt wiggles. When he's not playing, Shale is a relaxed guy who likes to chill in a cat bed or on a chair nearby. A sunny spot is always a go to or my computer chair, which he steals from me every chance he gets. He likes to be pet, not near his butt or tail, but all around the head, his chin, and especially the bridge of his nose. He is not very vocal, but has meowed when locked into a room. His cuddliness is untested as he is currently limited to 2 rooms, neither of which has a bed or couch. Since Shale is of unknown origin we can only speculate on him, but it seems he may have been raised alone as he has trouble interacting with other cats. It appears that he wants to play and interact but doesn't understand that other cats might not immediately like him. He comes across as almost aggressive in his behavior due to his actions, such as staring at the other cat and walking right on over without caution. Due to this, it is not recommended that he be adopted into a home with another cat unless adopter is experienced enough to do a very slow introduction and aware that it might not work. Additionally, Shale needs an experienced cat owner as he has a few bad habits from being raised alone. He is very playful, but doesn't understand that his claws and teeth can hurt you. It is likely that he was played with as a kitten and learned that a person's hands are toys and doesn't know not to be rough. We have been working with him and he has reduced this behavior tremendously, but it does still happen, so he should not be adopted into a home with any young children for safety reasons. His nails can be cut, he is reasonable about it. Petting Shale is a game of chance sometimes, once again due to his playful nature he will try to wrestle your arm. He is not very used to being picked up but tolerates it for a minute before wiggling to be put down. He does not like being brushed but he does need it occasionally. Overall, Shale is a good cat, who with more training and proper correction can become a great cat. He needs someone patient who is willing to work with his flaws and love him for who he is becoming.

Marilyn and Monroe are the sweetest kittens that were dumped on a farm close by. Marilyn is very reserved and laid back and Monroe is a ball of energy that loves to keep Marilyn on her toes. These two do everything together and must be adopted as sisters, from eating, to using the litter box, to playing, to snuggling up for nap time, they are always together. Monroe has this huge personality and is always in the go. She loves to be held and in your arms or lap at all times. She is extremely playful curious and very bold. They are both per machines and love attention. Both are fixed vaccinated and tested negative for FIV felv and heartworm.
