Story
Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home.  Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR.  We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone.  Our job is to find those someone's.  Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog.  They come to us because they want to give a dog a home.  We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture.  While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face.  Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home.  We want to create furever families.  Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today.  We'll update as more information is known.  Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days?  If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application.  You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side.  You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available.  Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes?  Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email.  We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team   Date into Rescue: 11/14/2023 Reason for being in rescue: transfer from rescue  Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Buddy thought at one time he could live life as a feral and on his own.  He found out differently by walking on that wild side.  Weight: 13lb Height: 7 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes and ear-tipped! Adoption Fee: $1 Fence needed? No What kind of home would be best for me? Buddy is an elusive grey and black little guy who enjoys escaping from his home, he's slipped out on us three times but always managed to return home. Once inside he enjoys finding hiding places. I guess you could say the little guy is a tad antisocial. Buddy needs an adopter that will accept him on his terms. He's not the type of cat that will sit in your lap or cuddle up in bed with you. At least not yet. Buddy may warm to his adopter if you give him time to adjust to his new surroundings and let him come to you when he's ready. Treats will always help him be ready. Buddy is the type of cat most people associate with cats. He lives life on his terms, and you'll have to abide by them. Imagine how rewarding it will be on the day when he finally jumps into your lap and states, yes human, you are mine! What is my personality like? Buddy's personality is what most people believe a typical cat is like. But Buddy isn't typical at all. He's just an independent little guy who likes to make you seek him out inside and out. It's best to ensure he is safe inside. How do I act when I first meet new people? Buddy isn't warm and fuzzy when meeting people. He tends to run and hide from them. He does seem to like women better than men. The day Buddy warms to you is a day to mark on your calendar and celebrate. It will happen, it's just going to take time. Other tips and tidbits: Buddy is estimated to have been born on or about 11/14/2022. House trained? Buddy uses his litter box. Please note - we do not ship dogs.  If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip.  Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina.   To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home.   You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc.  Others here may be a better fit for you.  It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description.  Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a  dog not in our listings yet.  We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR. August 19, 2024, 4:37 pm

Chloe is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Weight:  Est 8 lbs Height: 6 in at the shoulder Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $99 Fence needed? No What kind of home would be best for me? Chloe would do great in just about any home. She gets along with all dogs, cats and children, so being a part of a family would be just fine with her. What is my personality like? Chloe is a happy go lucky girl. She enjoys basking in the warm sunlight shining through her favorite window during the day. Chloe loves her people, and wants to know what they are doing at all times. She will become your shadow anytime you are up walking around. When you finally take a seat, she will be in your lap giving you all the snuggles. How do I act when I first meet new people? Chloe loves everyone she meets. We doubt she will ever meet a stranger, human or furry. Other tips and tidbits: Chloe came to us as a stray and pregnant.  Her best estimated birthday is 08/09/2021.   House trained? Chloe is litter box trained. Story
Meet Stanley....this handsome guy showed up at his foster home and clearly had no intention of leaving. He’s about 3 years old (as of 5/21) and is so sweet and social. He had obviously been living outdoors, fending for himself but has happily adapted to getting fed twice a day. His foster mom has been working trying to adapt him to indoor living and has made strides...he loves to be in on cold rainy days and does come in every night, but he still wants to go out and is very vocal about it. He does not go far and could be an indoor/outdoor cat depending on the area. Stanley is fixed and current on vaccinations. He does fine with dogs and has made friends with the other cats...however, that took a little time. He would be a great companion and would love a forever home.. .

Story
Clara is a sweet, sweet baby girl. Born in October 2021, she is soft, quiet, calm, patient and did I mention, sweet? She patiently waits for dinner with one paw on her foster mom’s foot and often reaches up to be pet. She is warming up to being held. She has clinger potential for the right person. She is a little nervous, but very loving.

Story
Reuben is a handsome tuxedo boy. He is an independent introverted guy, and is a little slow to warm up to new people. He'll reward your patience with pets but prefers to do his snuggling on your clothes and blankets rather than your lap. He is playful and loves to chase toys of any kind and scratch on scratching posts and cat trees. He is FelV Positive and doesn't particulary like to share his affection. He'd like to be the only pet in the home.
