Story
🐾 Hey there, hoomans! I’m Roni, the shelter’s very own pepperoni bandit! 🍕 You see, I didn’t just get my name for fun—I was so hungry when I arrived here that I staged a daring heist and snagged some pepperonis right out of an employee's car! Talk about a spicy entrance! When I’m not plotting my next snack attack, I’m busy perfecting my purr and charming everyone with my adorable antics. I’m looking for a forever home where I can be the reigning queen of pizza parties and cozy cuddles. If you’re ready to share some treats (and maybe a slice or two), come meet me! Let’s make some cheesy memories together! 🐱✨

All AHHS animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations before adoption (if species appropriate). Application and counseling is required prior to all adoptions. Individuals interested in adopting a puppy are STRONGLY encouraged to download and read this FREE ebook. Even if you've raised puppies in the past, this is an invaluable resource to help make your new addition successful!   Hi, my name's Mickey! I am really, really hoping you'll adopt me as I am the last of my litter. I am not quite sure why I've been overlooked as I am handsome as can be. I have a great personality, too...I just take a little while to open up. Once I feel comfortable with you, we're BFFs.  I am 5 months old, so I'm still a baby. I'd do well in a home with other cats but also wouldn't mind being your one and only. I would prefer a home without loud, rambunctious children as I have not been around kiddos. Dogs would be okay as long as they don't chase me!    Please give me a chance, I really want to be home for the holidays!    Please apply at https://ahhumanesociety.org/cat-adoption-application/December 31, 2024, 9:22 pm

Individuals interested in adopting a puppy are STRONGLY encouraged to download and read this FREE ebook. Even if you've raised puppies in the past, this is an invaluable resource to help make your new addition successful!   This big, senior boy is Gandalf. He came to the AHHS from a cruelty case in Sullivan County. Gandalf came to us following a cruelty case in Sullivan County, TN. Given all he's been through, we do try to give him some grace. He was tried in a home with other cats, but it has been determined that he would prefer to be your one and only. He's very content just lounging around with little activity.   He's a large cat; roughly 15 pounds. He does not enjoy being picked up, likely due to his size and insecurities. He's really a neat fella once he warms up to you. He will gladly come over for pets and love but will walk away when he's had enough. With his age, I couldn't see him being the destructive type as he certainly has not been while in his large cat condo at the humane society. However, I cannot guarantee his behavior once in a home environment.    We do allow what is called a "trial adoption" for adult cats which we believe would be a good option for this fella. This allows you a week or 2 to see exactly how he's going to do in your home before committing to adoption.  Please contact Halee for additional information. halee@ahhumanesociety.org or apply online at ahhumanesociety.org. Story
Paul is a very sweet and handsome young man who has been fantastic with the younger cats as well as the older and special needs cats. The only ones he does not get along with are Batman and Fang who is not up for adoption. Paul is a real go with the flow kind of guy. He came to the rescue as a surrender because his humans were scared of covid.
