For puppies and kittens under the age of 6 months, adoptions are $100. For dogs, this includes the first series of vaccinations, deworming, spay/neuter, heartworm testing and heartworm preventative. For cats, this includes the first series of vaccinations, deworming, spay/neuter and feline AIDS/leukemia testing. All cats and kittens adopted from the Germantown Animal Shelter are not allowed to be declawed. Any questions should be directed to animalshelter@germantown-tn.gov. Meet Penn! Penn is a stunning 16 month old DMH orange tabby. He is a chill guy who is happy to hang out with you and if possible, claim a spot on your lap! He is great with other cats and tolerates dogs well, especially calm ones! He is a healthy boy and he is ready for a new home. He is neutered, UTD on shots, and micro chipped. All cats will only be adopted out as an INDOOR cats where they will be safest! We don't want anything bad to happen to these precious babies! Penn is currently located in TN but will be transported to New England for adoption. The adoption donation is $300 which includes vetting and a microchip, plus covers the costs for transport north. Meet Mindy ! Mindy is a beautiful 10 month old DMH Tuxedo. She has long white hairs thru her black coat which make her even prettier! Mindy showed up pregnant and gave birth 2 days after her arrival. She has since been spayed and is healthy , active, and ready to be adopted. She does well with other cats and would be fine in a multi cat home. She is not a big fan of dogs but will tolerate them OK if they leave her alone. She can be quite vocal when she wants attention or food! She is not a wallflower waiting to be noticed!
