Story
Meet Milo! A gentle 1-year-old Domestic Medium hair. Though he may take a little time to adjust to a new environment, Milo's shy demeanor is balanced by his friendly and affectionate nature once he feels comfortable. Milo is the kind of kitty who thrives in a calm and peaceful atmosphere, away from the hustle and bustle. He might be a little reserved at first, carefully observing the world around him from his favorite hiding spots, but don't let that fool you—once he trusts you, his sweet side shines through. Milo is the type of cat who enjoys the slower pace of life, and with a bit of patience and understanding, he’ll gradually warm up to you, revealing a loyal and loving companion. Milo would likely thrive in a home with a patient caregiver who understands that his shy nature means he needs a little extra time and space to adjust. His ideal family is one that can offer him a quiet, low-stress environment where he can feel safe and secure. While he may not be the type to immediately jump into your lap, Milo will definitely form a bond with the person who gives him time to shine at his own pace. If you're looking for a calm, affectionate companion who just needs a little time to feel at home, Milo could be the perfect fit. If you are interested in giving Milo his forever home, please be sure to fill out our adoption questionnaire on our main website at: https://hsjcwa.org/adopt-a-cat

Story
Meet Gary! Gary is a wonderfully sweet younger kitty who is looking to be someone’s loving companion! Gary initially arrived at the shelter as a stray, so we don’t know his origin story. However, our veterinarian believes him to be about 1 year old based off the condition of his teeth. When you first meet Gary, you’ll be met with lots of purrs as he rubs his head all over you. We just know you’ll be enchanted by his warm inviting eyes and happy face. This fellow has a lot of personality and is quite the character! Everyone he meets is his best friend and he knows just how to put the charm on to secure his place in your heart. With a proper introduction, we believe Gary would do well and adjust to most home environments! If you are interested in giving Gary his forever home, please be sure to fill out our adoption questionnaire on our main website at: https://hsjcwa.org/adopt-a-cat

Story
This sweet, social guy is 2-3 years old, and was found as a stray. Charlie is such a nice boy that his rescuer generously paid for all of his medical expenses and care–she would have loved to keep him, but could not. Since he had been on the lam, Charlie needed to have a broken tooth removed, neutering, vaccines and labwork. What a Good Samaritan! Lucky Charlie is now in great shape and ready to go to a new home! Charlie is a dark brown tabby with a white face, chest and paws. He’s a classy and friendly cat. He must live indoors because Charlie is FIV positive. FIV positive cats can live with other cats, but they need to be friendly (like Charlie) and non-fighters (also like Charlie). FIV is spread via deep bite wounds from an infected cat. Sharing food, water or litter boxes isn’t a problem. So if Charlie sounds like a cat you’d like to meet, just give the shelter a call, make an appointment and come on down! Charlie would love to meet you
