BooBoo is one fantastic cuddler!! And he has blue sparkling eyes. He absolutely loves to "spoon" with you several times a day. He has his own room, like that first picture. He does like to have his own little pillow when he sleeps. BooBoo is/was very attached to everyone he lived with, and he becomes totally comfortable on day one. He had 2 previous owners, all of them were Seniors that became too sick/ chronic health issues and 2 were forced into nursing homes, and l am one of them. He is such a good boy !! He doesn't have "accidents ", doesn't eat plants, and doesn't jump on furniture. He knows what NO means. He loves to meet your friends and company; he will come out from wherever he is, to sit right down in front of someone he meets to memorize you in exchange for a head rub. He prefers dry food all day and about 3 or 4 tube treats like Churro's. He doesn't play with toys, he will occasionally want to play with those sticks with feathers on strings. He loves to give/ receive love.

This is sweet Angel. She is a very petite little kitty that I found living outdoors at a vacant farmhouse. She was definitely not feral, but she was very skittish around humans. But because she was cold and starving, I was able to capture her and bring her to my house in the hopes of finding her a good home. She had obviously been litter trained at some point, so I'm not sure how she got to be living out in the cold. I've been able to earn her trust and her personality has now come out. She is the sweetest, most gentle and darling little girl who just loves to be around her person! She is playful and sweet, uses the scratching pads and litter boxes. Loves to be held or carried around! She would do best in a calmer home without dogs or small children. Other cats would be ok as long as they are not aggressive or mean. She is only still available because this website keeps deactivating her profile.

In the last couple months we have seen an increase of FeLV+cats. This is from 2 separate home on different sides of Elkhorn and then a home in Whitewater. What is FeLV? The technical name is Feline Leukemia Virus. Like FIV it can weaken the cat’s immune system and shorten their life. Is FeLV contagious to other cats? Yes it is! It’s easily transmissible between cats by saliva - grooming each other, sharing the same dishes. Cats that are positive are looking for a home with no other felines. They are able to live with other animals such as dogs. **There’s a vaccine that may help the current cat in the home but you would need to reach out to your veterinary to discuss this.Best placement for FeLV kitties? •Someone able to keep the cat indoors only•Taken to regular checkups - maybe even more than normalHow long can they live? Cats can live anywhere between 2-5 years, maybe even longer. It’s not something the shelter sees often. Strangely we see more FIV cats enter our shelter.
