This sweet little gal is June Bug and she is ready to find her furever home. June Bug is a timid little gal who needs a person with lots of patience and love. Once she trusts you, June Bug will soak up all the love and attention you have to give. She will provide unconditional love and companionship in return.June Bug came to the shelter on January 3rd with several other cats because her owner passed away. The vet determined she has a genetic deformity that has caused both her back legs to be short. Her right forelimb has a muscle contracture up at the biceps and the limb does not fully extend as far as the left. This is most likely an old injury, resulting in a limp. This beautiful gal is a survivor and deserves a quiet home with no dogs or young children under the age of 8. Frosty was born approximately summer 2023 and was part of a TNR project from a local farm late 2023. At the time, even though she was about 5 months old based on her teeth development, she only weighed 2 pounds. By November, it was clear that she would not survive returning to the farm. Because she had not had any human handling, she was very shy and we realize not likely to be easily adoptable. She has spent the winter fostering indoors. She hops on the bed and plays with toes and purrs loudly. She comes and loves delectable squeeze treats and allows petting her on her own terms. She is super playful and loves other cats. She is spayed, FeLv negative, microchipped, vaccinated and has been dewormed. She would be a wonderful pet for your lonely friendly feline companion if you might be looking for a companion for your kitty while you are gone. Over time, she will bond with a new human as she has with her foster mom, but it will take time. While she is a shy kitty, she bonds and purrs, and seeks attention on her own terms. If you are willing to give this girl a chance, we would consider doing a “foster to adopt”. She weighs 6.6 pounds now! Sundae has been with us for quite some time now. He is a nice cat, but he has no time for snuggling and cuddling. He likes you to pet him, but he's choosy about how close he wants humans to be. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Rhett is a work in progress. Originally named Scarlett, was abandoned in a foreclosed house & left alone for weeks. The work crew who found him brought him to us, terrified & starving. He has trust issues with humans. understandably. When he went to the vet we discovered "Scarlett" was a "Rhett" instead. Rhett is slowly coming around, coming out of his cubby hole to wander around the room while humans are in there. Sometimes he will allow some pets before running for cover again. He is making progress, but he will need some time and patience. He seems to like having his roommate, George Clooney, in the room with him. When George goes for a walkabout, Rhett is always excited to see him back in the room. Who knows, he might turn around quickly in a home where he feels comfortable, instead of overwhelmed by too many cats.
