Story
Hi, I'm Calliope! I'm an independent and friendly gal who was fortunately scooped off the streets by a vet tech! She brought me to Furry Friends and got me all fixed up, and now I'm living my best life. Head rubs all the way! Except I really don't want to live at a shelter for the rest of my life. I want to go to a real home with my forever person. I'm still a young gal with a lot of personality - but I am well past all those kitten antics of pouncing, chasing and climbing - I am more into "chillaxin!" I had a bit of a rough start in life by living on the street, but all that is behind me and I'm ready for a fresh start with a new human who wants to give this gal a chance at the good life. I love getting treats and head rubs from people, and I'll be more than happy to come over for food. The second you grab that food can, I'll run right over! When you first meet me, I might seem a little aloof, but I'm actually very social and love to say hello! What do you say? Will you give this good girl a chance?

Well hello world! Buttons here -- a nice human found me and must have been in a hurry because they left me in a comfortable kennel right by our Ranch Cat House. I need some time to warm up and staff have been working hard to socialize me. I need a patient human who wants to spend quiet time with me to allow me to warm up. I adore being with other cats and they help boost my confidence. Adopt Don't Shop

Hey there, black cat lovers! The name's Hendrix, and I'm a distinguished older gentleman eagerly seeking a cozy home to retire in. With my soft black fur and bright yellowish eyes, I've got a certain charm that's hard to resist. At 9 years old, I'm a laid back kind of guy who enjoys nothing more than lounging around and taking in the view from a sunny window. The warmth of the sun on my fur makes me feel content. I'm as nice as can be and have a gentle disposition that's sure to win you over. If you're in search of a furry companion who's ready to spend cozy afternoons relaxing with you, then look no further! I can't wait to find my forever home with you!

Hello, I'm Lucy! I found myself here in the shelter through a magical twist of fate. You see, I was a sorceress's feline companion in a far-off land. One day, while playing with her wand, I accidentally teleported myself here! Oops! I miss my sorceress, but I've been making the best of it, enchanting everyone with my sweet, friendly demeanor. I love playing with toys (no wands, though) and outsmarting puzzles. I'm looking for a new companion, someone who appreciates my magical origins and playful spirit. I promise to fill your life with love, laughter, and a touch of magic!

Story
Meet Jojen. This baby has been through a lot in his life. He came to us with a rectal prolapse - when we saw his picture and the plea to get him to a vet - we stepped up and did this. He went to a vet who treated the prolapse and home he came. He prolapsed again (commonly happens) and back he went to the vet who fixed it again. After a short time, we did a fecal pcr and found some infection - treated that. Well, one more time, he prolapsed - went to a different vet who fixed it and it has been well over a year since then. We think this vet did a good job and did something that perhaps the first vet missed. Anyways, he's been back to that vet and she says it should not happen again at this point in time - he's good! So, poor thing, he aged a couple years since all of that and is now approximately 11 years old. He still has life and love to give though and we are not giving up on him finding a true forever home for the rest of his days. More on where Jojen came from: We investigated his chip a bit and while owner who had him neutered could not be contacted (basically abandoned him at some point), we were able to determine his approximate age and that he had at one point been a pet kitty in someone's home. Since we knew the person who asked for help with him for the prolapse, we knew that he had been taken care of as part of a cat colony for a couple of years. So, this little Jojen found a kind person near where he had lived as a housecat and she fed him outside along with other cats. So, here we are. Jojen is a sweet 11 year old boy. He's small for a boy cat. - pretty little actually - and that's pretty darn cute. He is quite shy and timid at first but if you give him a chance, he does warms up. With his fosters, he can be picked up, petted - he does elevator butt and purrs. He enjoys the gentle pets he's offered - rubs his head around in enjoyment - leans into chin rubs. We think that with a kind and patient person, Jojen could develop and nice and loving relationship. He's a sweet and gentle cat. That said, a quiet home with one or two adults would give him his best chance. He's fine with other cats - Jojen is not the least bit aggressive and would like the company of other feline friends. He would also be fine as an only cat. No dogs in the home is, again, what we think would be best. It's a tall order for this shy senior grey tiger stripped tabby boy. Jojen would be so grateful and appreciative of a forever home. -you know, he's the kind of cat you can tell is thankful for everything you do for him and the forever home you provide. Jojen would love a soft cat bed, a window to look out, a lap to sit on from time to time, a hooman to sleep with and to meow to - esp. for his wet food breakfast. Cat tree is a bonus! All around nice kitty. Mellow. Neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, negative fecal and monthly flea preventative. Current on rabies and FVRCP vaccines. If interested in possibly adopting Jojen, you may complete a no obligation adoption application here: https://form.jotform.com/233454813758161

Story
Hi - my name is Mercury and I am super handsome tabby boy with lots of energy and love to give. I love to play and carry my little stuffed animals around like a prize. Batting at string toys are really fun too. I am a bit of an alpha boy so it might be best that I am the only kitty in the home, that way I can have you all to myself. I am very affectionate and will seek you out for head pats and skin scratches. When you are sitting or lying down, I will come right over to lay next to you.
