Story
Sweet Paige is currently my most independent, non-needy, behaved foster. She is absolutely precious! She doesn’t demand or fight for attention, she just calmly waits until she can ease into place beside me. She will then purr loudly while I pet her, make biscuits, curl up and go to sleep. Paige makes biscuits unlike many other cats - she gets her legs in on the action and almost marches while making hers. It’s a little bit comical but I don’t laugh at her because she’s a quiet girl and more timid than some of her foster siblings. She’s not timid when she plays though - she plays with passion and can tackle her foster brothers like a linebacker.  Paige was found on a tarp at about 4-5 weeks old - the tarp was torn and somehow one of her front legs had gotten caught. Apparently, in her efforts to get free from the tarp, she got it wrapped around her upper leg so tightly that she had a pretty bad open wound and her circulation was compromised. No one is really sure how it happened, we can only make guesses based on her condition when she was brought in to the vets office. The people who brought her in did not want her and thought the vet could just euthanize her to end her suffering. Thankfully, the vet saw some spark in this little girls eyes that said “I’m just getting started in this world and I’m a fighter”. So the vet and staff got to work - they got her free from all the tarp she’d got herself tangled in, got her wound cleaned up and treated, put her on some iv antibiotics and hopes for the best. After she made it through the first 24 hours, they kept the wound clean, kept the antibiotics going, encouraged her to eat and showered her with love. I was able to bring her home to foster a couple of weeks later. She loved the vet that decided to try and save her but she was still timid and cautious of other humans. It took Paige a few weeks before she was comfortable with me and then another couple of weeks to decide that instigating contact brought lots of joy and comfort to her. I am extremely grateful to the awesome vet who decided in a matter of seconds, that that sickly, wounded, mad, tiny ball of fur was worth trying to save. All little Paige needed was a chance!  Paige has never been around children or dogs. She has come so far in her journey and I feel like she can adjust to any situation with love and patience. However, I think it would be best for her to be in a quieter, calm environment to begin with. Loud, excited, busy homes are not going to be ideal for Paige. I thinks she could adjust to any dog that is typically laid back and doesn’t bark a lot. The main factor in any new home is always the patience, love and understanding of the human in charge.  You can submit an adoption application for Paige at http://www.myhstc.org/cats. Story
This boy is a treasure. Charlie is so sweet and loving. Mix in a big dose of mischief, a huge helping of play and you have the perfect cat. He loves romping around with his foster brothers and sisters, cuddling with you while you sit or sleep and he is super dedicated to all things edible. He loves, loves, loves to eat! Speaking of that - Charlie is a CHONK!  He has no clue that he is a big boy though. His struggles with spatial awareness are very real - he is constantly rolling himself off of surfaces - much to his shock. :) He is so entertaining!  Charlie has never been around children, nor dogs. With his outgoing personality, he would most likely be fine with both. You can submit an adoption application for Charlie at http://www.myhstc.org/cats. Story
****COURTESY LISTING**** Please help us in finding a home for Leo! Leo is a secret cuddle bug! We thought this little guy was a "love you from afar" kind - but we were wrong. He was just shy and needed some extra patience! Now that he's gotten comfortable, Leo is the best snuggler we've ever had. He enjoys sitting on your lap and laying on the bed (or on you).  Leo will happily chat and chirp with you. He is a sweet buddy who needs a buddy.  Leo is also curious, smart, and loves food. He enjoys playing with his stuffed mice, his foster siblings, and wand toys (feathers are the best!). His love of food also means he's very trainable. Leo would do best with another active cat he can play with and a human he can call his own, to play with, to love on, and get love from. Leo is about 5-6 months old. You can submit an adoption application for Leo at http://www.myhstc.org/cats. Please email hstcpurrs@gmail.com if you have any questions or would like more information on Leo . ##2252508##

Story
Sweetest big boy you could possibly imagine! The most loving thing ever!! He doesn’t care his right eye is not normal and neither should you! Puzzle has what is called  “micropthalmia secondary to an upper respiratory infection” when he was a baby kitten. Basically, when you look at him, his right eye appears smaller and his third eyelid is visible. The vet assured me that Puzzle is not blind in that eye and other than it being runny and wet, he should suffer no long term consequences. Puzzle was found with his sister in a parking lot when they still had their umbilical cords attached - no mama to be found - and taken to our vet. Fortunately, there was a nursing mama kitty available and she accepted them as her own. Puzzle’s sister sadly did not make it. Puzz us a typical young cat with endless energy and spunk and chaos. He loves making mischief with his foster siblings. He is super laid back, sociable, crazy loving and has the most incredibly soft fur! Puzzle has never been around children nor dogs but considering his awesome personality, he should be excellent with both as long as introductions are handled appropriately. You can submit an adoption application for Puzzle at http://www.myhstc.org/cats. Please email hstcpurrs@gmail.com if you have any questions or would like more information on Puzzle. ##2287948##

Story
Oh my! What a mess this little man is! Riddle is non-stop energy - goes from sound asleep to full speed in a nanosecond. He is the naughtiest of the current foster gang and likely thinks his name is “Riddle STOP” or “Riddle NO”. His curiosity is off the charts, which could mean he is just a really smart boy that would love learning cool tricks and/or being harness/leash trained to take you on adventure filled walks. Options are endless when it comes to adding this awesome kitty to your family! Riddle is uber loving, super social, crazy playful and leans toward being a professional thief. If he can get it in his mouth, he is taking it! He is, thankfully, a fantastic snuggle bug too.  Riddle has never been around children or dogs but considering his awesome personality, he should be excellent with both as long as introductions are handled appropriately. You can submit an adoption application for Riddle at http://www.myhstc.org/cats. Please email hstcpurrs@gmail.com if you have any questions or would like more information on Riddle. ##2287954##

Story
Summer is like velcro! She is so loving and sweet that she just sticks to you. Her purrs are incredibly calming! She is still 110 percent young kitty and wildly playful. She loves her foster brothers and sisters and holds her own very well when they are all causing group chaos.  Summer is not one to accept outsiders quickly - she’s a little hissy and judgmental with newcomers at first. She’s just cautious and wants to take her time to grant approval. Can we all just say: FEMALE!!! Summer has never been around children nor dogs but considering her personality, she should be fine with both as long as introductions are handled appropriately and with patience.
