Story
After about a week of decompressing she began to pick her people. Other cats didn't bother her so much. If someone is sitting down, at a desk for example trying their best to do work, she will jump into their lap, put her paws around their neck and vigorously rub all over the person's face. The purrs will come and you can tell how much she is loving the interaction. However, then sometimes her "issues" come out.....not because she doesn't want to not be petted or loved, because she doesn't wan't it to stop. She will growl when the person tries to remove her, she may even nip, but not hard, just to say "no". However, if soft voices and slow movements are used, she will move and gladly sit beside the person. Yes, it is something to work on -- but It is amazing to be that loved by a cat!!! We will continue to work on this quirk.Adoption Fee: $150Cut and Paste application: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1ct0QYvSBYVQvBXjU3oFPH7nMRnuzAob4K24LdDMRM8U/editSneezer had been a PAWS animals control with a constant URI. She was treated, but they couldn't get rid of her URI. We agreed to pull her and sent her directly to our vet. She was so very nervous, She had no clue what it going on in her life. She walked among the other cats, yet she growled to show her lack of understanding. She loves people to rub her, but when they first approach, she sometimes gives a hiss.

Story
Greg/Wink came in with his brother from another litter/cousins, Melvin and Crane from a hoarding situation. They were at a shelter in a neighboring county and were labeled as feral. These 3 boys were far from Feral. They were probably terrified when they were trapped and taken to a shelter. They have lots of energy and love to play. Greg looks like a street cat. He could easily be mistaken as feral if he was spotted in a dark alley. He had a very infected eye that had to be removed, so now he only has one eye. He was covered in fleas and had a terrible flea allergy and lost part of his fur. It is now growing back, but isn't quite there yet. He still has a few scabs from all of his scratching. But the looks are the only thing feral about this boy. He does sometimes get irritated if other cats get in his space, but in general he gets along fine. He would love someone to consider adopting him and showing him what a truly loving home is like. Let us know if you want to give this skinny, long legged tux a try!!!

Story
Lilly: A Diamond in the RoughMeet Lilly, a stunning cat with a heart full of potential. While she may not be at her best in the shelter environment, there's a loving and loyal companion waiting to blossom in the right home. Currently she hides while the shelter is busy and full of volunteers. Many of our volunteers don't even know who Lilly is because they've never had a chance to meet her. But those of us who come alone at night for different duties know a little about her personality. Here's what makes Lilly special:A Beauty in Waiting: Lilly's true personality and stunning good looks may be hidden beneath her current shyness. Imagine that gorgeous fur and loving gaze shining brightly in a familiar home!One-Person Wonder: Lilly seems to prefer a quieter bond with a single companion. This makes her a purrfect fit for someone looking for a devoted feline friend.Needs Patience and Understanding: Lilly needs a calm and understanding adopter who can give her the time and space to adjust to a new home. With a little patience, her loving personality will bloom.Thrives as an Only Cat: A home without other furry residents would likely be ideal for Lilly to feel comfortable and secure.Looking for a Diamond in the Rough? However, she may do fine with another cat of similar mannerisms. Sometimes we don't know until they leave the shelter. If you're seeking a loving and loyal companion who simply needs the right environment to blossom, Lilly could be your purrfect match! She'll reward your patience with a lifetime of devotion and affection.Ready to Offer Lilly a Forever Home?Contact us today to learn more about Lilly and schedule a meet-and-greet. Story
Possum came to us so sick and literally on the verge of death. She was very sick and went to several vets before one discovered her giant, inflamed uterus that was on the verge of rupturing. She recovered from this surgery even though it was iffy for a bit. Despite all of that, she is a great girl. She is sweet and loving. She is a quiet girl and all she wants is to find a safe home where she can live the good life indoors. She is now fully recovered and vetted and while she loves visiting with our volunteers, she wants her own family. If you think this girl would be the perfect match for your family, please set up a time to come and meet this darling. She may do better in a quiet household, but she does get along with other cats. We have not had her around dogs.

Sweet adult cat that came in from a neighboring shelter that was overcrowded and needed space. She was already vetted, so we took her in to try and find her a great home instead of this nice cat ended up being euthanized for nothing more than space.

Story
Pumpkin came to us back in the spring from a neighboring shelter. She was considered feral, but she was far from that. She was frightened, but never aggressive. She needed vetting and she received it. She slowly came out of her shell and while she is still rather quiet and timid in our shelter setting, once she realizes that she is getting some love she rubs against the persons legs and loves the attention. Imagine how she we would blossom in a home of her own. Where she can be the main focus of attention instead of one among a hundred. She is patiently waiting for someone to give her a chance. If you think this pretty young tabby adult would fit in your home, please reach out to us and we will set up an appointment for you to meet her.
