Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.FIV PositiveJerry spent many years as an outdoor cat, before a Last Hope volunteer found him and brought him in to rescue.  Jerry is around 11 years old and he absolutely adores the company of humans! He will make a terrific companion for a cat savvy adult who understands cats that enjoy their space yet seek out affection on their own terms. Jerry spent some time living in our office as the office assistant! He was an excellent watch cat and kept everyone on track but had since retired and is living life watching (or napping) everyone work from atop the kennels! Jerry will love a home with lots of windows to enjoy and a cat tower or even a cozy cardboard box that he can hunker down in and nap the day away in.  Jerry loves to get out and explore at our adoption center! Jerry also loves a great scratching post, we find that he enjoys cardboard kitty scratchers the most. Jerry's many years spent as an outdoor kitty have left him FIV positive, this simply means that he has the potential to have a more sensitive immune system so will require a diligent owner who will promptly attend to his medical concerns should they arise.  Jerry would do best in a home without young children or other animals.  He’s got more than enough love to offer to anyone willing to take a chance on him!  Jerry's adoption fee is $85 and includes his neuter, microchip and current vaccinations.  Jerry is seeking an indoor only home, if you would like to meet him please submit an adoption application for consideration through our website Adopthope.org.  Last Hope requires that adopters have a history of having kept their animals altered, current on vaccinations and preventatives and as indoor pets only.  Our adoption process includes a vet history check and a home visit.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 6:20 pm

Story
Hi! My name is Zola. I’m a sweet and quiet kitty, about 2 years old, and I’ve had quite a journey to get here. I used to live with over 20 other cats, but when my owner received a terminal diagnosis, I had to say goodbye and start looking for a new family to call my own. I might be a little shy at first, but once I feel safe, my true personality shines. I’ll come to you for pets and attention on my time, showing you just how much love I have to give. I’m very easygoing and don’t cause any trouble—I’m just happy to be around gentle people and friendly cats who will let me come out of my shell in my own time. If you’re patient and have a calm home, I think we could be the perfect match. I’m ready to find my forever family—could it be with you? Zola is litter trained, has been vaccinated, spayed, dewormed, tested negative for FELV/FIV, and microchipped. She will be having a dental cleaning done in the coming weeks and will be ready for adoption at that time! Applications can be submitted here: https://www.aplanimalrescue.org/cats

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. It was noticed that Tora was showing signs of shelter stress with excessive grooming and itching. She was moved into a foster home where she is doing better, but we are still working on identifying the base of her dry skin. We will continue to work with her and any potential adopter on her skin concerns! Tora is enjoying life in foster care, but would love nothing more than a forever home! She loves laying in a sunny window and pets of all kinds. Our petite girl is happy to nap the afternoon away and then get her loving in. She likes head pats, belly rubs, back pets, neck scratches and more! In foster care, she gets a little coconut oil massaged into her skin daily which helps her fur stay soft - and she looks forward to these mini massages! She would gladly trade a lot of love for just a little but of pampering. After coming to us with a litter of kittens from an outdoor area where she was not safe, Tora deserves a soft landing zone. She is sweet as cotton candy! If you would like to meet Tora, we can arrange for a meet and greet! Reach out to Safe Haven and we will get it set up!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 13, 2025, 11:35 am

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Today: Pearl was originally know as Tiny Tot when she first came to Safe Haven. She found her way back when her owner passed. She is now a 16 year young senior cat who is looking for her perfect retirement home. She still gets around well and would prefer a sunny window to spend her days sleeping in.    Original Profile on Pearl from 2009: Tiny is a wonderful, loving, talkitive little girl.  She wants more then to have all the attention she can get.  Tiny would be best as the only cat in a home.  Click here to watch a video of Pearl (fka Tiny Tot).Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 10, 2025, 9:47 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lottie (along with her mom and sister) was discovered in a cat carrier that had been thrown in a ditch when she was a day or two old. It was noticed that her back legs seemed frozen and it was unclear how she had been injured. Once Lottie was eating solid food, an x-ray was scheduled. These x-rays did reveal an injury that had healed. No further improvement was expected for Lottie. One thing Dr. Roland (Safe Haven's volunteer vet) needed to determine a plan for Lottie's future was to find out if Lottie had control of her bowels and bladder, so she took over fostering her. Since Lottie had been seen playing in the litterbox at her first foster home, Dr. Roland set up a dog crate with a litterbox, food and water. She noticed that Lottie was using the litterbox when she was in the crate but did not go back to the litter box when she was out playing. So, Dr. Roland ordered some tiny kitten diapers and onesies for playtime. Dr. Roland did notice that Lottie would twitch her tail rapidly when she needed to poop, and she also twitches her legs and clenches her toes, which indicates that the nerves to her legs are damaged but not severed. It has been noticed that Lottie is not using her litter box 100% of the time. Her ideal home would be with someone who has extra time for the care Lottie requires, like diaper changes, baths, and laundry. She will repay you with lots of purrs and snuggles. She is such a happy-go-lucky girl!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 20, 2025, 7:36 pm

Story
My husband and I are looking to rehome our cat, Fry. We adopted him in December 2021 from a farm when he was 8-10 weeks old, he is now 3 years old. He is declawed in his front paws. Fry is an incredibly affectionate cat who thrives on attention. He purrs the moment he gets any kind of affection and loves snuggles. Unfortunately, due to my allergies and our frequent travel for work, we can not provide Fry the attention and stability he needs. When we are away for more than 2-3 days, he pees outside the litterbox. We believe he would do best in a home where his owners are around more consistently and can give him the love and attention he craves. If you are interested in giving Fry a home, please reach out-we would love to find him the perfect home where he can feel secure and happy!
