Domestic Shorthair kittens & cats in Youngsville, Louisiana

Taz is a very sweet & pretty cat I found at a local Midas shop. She can be shy at first but loves attention as well as her fish & heart toys. You can pick her up & hold her close for a good while before she will “ask” to be put down. Rowdy young kids can make her a bit nervous but she has not really had close contact with them for long so she very well might be able to adjust to them. She makes cat & dog friends once she gets to know them if they are friendly & not too rambunctious.

Buddy is a super sweet & cuddly white kitten with orange tabby spots who was found in Abbeville, LA with his sister, Sissy when maybe 5 weeks old (around 10 weeks old at the end of June). They are a bonded pair that the rescuer/foster mom would like to be adopted together. Sissy is the orange tabby kitten with white in the picture of them together. Buddy sleeps at the head of her bed & Sissy sleeps by her side. They will also sleep in her lap and Buddy likes to be on foster mom’s chest and put his arms around her neck/look in her eyes . Both kittens love the cat tree, playing with toys or even empty pill bottles, and, of course, each other. They are very trainable and get along great with a gentle golden retriever. They haven’t really been around children but are very gentle and adaptable so should not be a problem.

Meredith used to be a member of a feral cat colony in Broussard. They have a caretaker that sees to their needs, and they all usually do fairly well there. However, we decided to take in Meredith because she was quite sick and needed to be on medication for multiple weeks. During that time, she's been in a foster home and has adjusted to the house-cat life quite well. She's now completely healthy and ready to find a forever home! Meredith is very much a diva and likes things her way. She's more like a roommate than a pet, to be honest. She can be very vocal when she wants something, usually either food or to go in/out of a specific room. She's not really a cuddley cat, but she does enjoy people's company. You'll often find her napping on the couch next to her foster parents while they're watching TV. The best way to win over Meredith's heart is through food - any kind of treats will do. You can also always count on her to join you in the kitchen when you're cooking food or sitting down for a meal. Meredith absolutely adores other cats and loves to play with the other foster kittens. Because of this, we'd love to see her go to a home that already has one or more friendly cats, but she'd probably be fine as an only child too. She's currently living with three large dogs and gets along with them quite well as long as they respect her personal space. Lee enjoys sunbathing in the window or playing with his sister, Harper (why not adopt both kitties?). He's a typical curious kitten who is used to children, older cats, and large dogs. They are both pretty easy-going and quickly adapted to being around large cats and dogs. They're great with children too! What makes these boys extra special is their *extra* toes. These boys are polydactyl, which makes it look like they're wearing mittens year-round!
