Nancy is a three year old girl who has always been the only pet in the home. She is very friendly with her people. She is timid at first and will be when moving to her new home, but she does come around. If you have a quiet home and could give Nancy all your love, please complete an application today.

Sydney is a female 12 week old kitten. She was part of a litter being given away for free at Walmart. It was pouring down rain when the owner decided to give up amd turn the last kitten over to Pet Pals. Although we wish we had gotten their earlier to get her siblings, we are happy to know that Sydney is getting the vet care she needs ro be a healthy cat. Sydney has been in a foster home with another cat and dog. She is Fiv/Felv negative and is scheduled for her spay. Shenis looking for an indoor only home that will keep her safe. She is a friendly girl and will do fine in any home.

Adopted from central missouri humane society in June 2024, she's aloof, anxious. Likes playing with her toys. Loves being in her window sill. She has behavioral problems in that she bites when she's been petted for a few strokes. She bites on my legs several times a day, with no apparent provocation. I'm a senior and just haven't been able to train her to stop.

I got Piper from a parking lot when she was about 1 month old, bottle fed her. She has anxiety, doesn’t like new people until she is around them constantly. Scared of outside and new things. Looking for someone who has a very relaxed older cat or no other pets. She is very loving one on one and will cuddle forever. Doesn’t bite or scratch she is in no way aggressive to people, although she has not been around little kids. Preferably someone with a very calm and relaxed home and little to no changes.

Hello, I'm Rupert (or as my foster mom likes to call me, Precious Rupies)! I'm a very snuggly guy, and am happiest when I'm in the company of my friends. I'll usually follow my humans around, happily rubbing against their legs until they pick me up. I absolutely love to be held, and often wrap my arms around your neck in a hug. I purr and purr and purr when you're near, and even enjoy belly rubs (which, as you may know, is not common for a cat). I'm honestly just so happy to be alive-- when I came to CMHS, I was at death's door. I was so cold and thin, my eyes were crusted shut, my nose was congested, and I had ulcers all over my tongue. But the veterinary team and my foster mom worked so hard to get me on the road to recovery! After lots of meds, tube feeding, and plenty of love, I'm doing much better. I'm currently eating an all wet food pate diet, and am on a special oral medication (Senvelgo) to help balance my blood sugar. Now that I'm feeling better, I'm very playful! I love to chase after interactive wand toys, bat around my mouse that squeaks when I hit it, and wrap around big plush kicker toys. I might even like another cat to wrestle with in my new home. _____________________________________________________________________ This cat came to the shelter in very poor condition with a severe upper respiratory infection (suspected to be calicivirus). He required a feeding tube to eat and extensive medical care and time in foster to improve. He likely has some ocular adhesion in his left eye from his chronic viral infection, so this eye may never appear normal. As of 4/1/24, he has improved significantly and is now eating on his own and gaining weight, although mild ocular and nasal discharge remained. He may require continued medical management with the adopter's veterinarian following adoption if upper respiratory signs remain or recur. Rupert was also diagnosed with diabetes and is currently being managed on Senvelgo. Follow-up care with the adopters veterinarian should be sought soon following adoption.

Little Debbie came to the shelter with her 5 kittens! She loved them so much but now that they are all adopted, she'd love to find a forever home! Little Debbie is a sweet as can be and loves head butting and rubbing up against your legs. She can be a little shy in a new environment, but with time and patience, she's sure to be a great companion!

The two of us have been together since the start, and I just can't imagine life without him. We have both been very gentle and affectionate with young children in the past, but we've never been around other cats or dogs. I am fairly laid-back, but am hoping for my new family to help encourage me to exercise through interactive playtime. ____________________________________ Kato and Athena are both very obese and will need a gradual weight loss plan in consultation with adopter's veterinarian. They also have skin conditions that will need further diagnostics and treatment with adopter's veterinarian.
