Story
Hello, My name is Ninja and now a days I am learning the art of the house cat! I am doing a respectable job if I do say so myself, my Sensei says she is quite pleased! At first, I was not so sure. People have not always been so kind to me, so it has taken me some time to get to where I am today. Though despite the bumpy road, no one gave up on me and I am now invested in this process! I have an awesome Sensei (everyone else calls her my foster mom). She has taught me all about the fascinating skill of play and toys. I particularly enjoy the wand and ribbon. They move, so it is a process to wield them, but I am oh so determined to get them in my paws! Another thing that I am practicing is what my Sensei calls affection. It is incredibly involved! I have started seeking it out though on my own now because not only does it usually come with the most incredible snacks, but I am quite fond of the head and chin scratches and head bumps are pretty cool too! I still get a little nervous though about the part involving being ‘picked up??’ She says that I need a little more time and patience until I get that one right. That`s ok though because I was told that I have made enough progress that I can now find a forever home. I am hoping that it will be somewhere quiet, even with a compatible play partner if I am lucky. My partners here don`t really like me practicing my playing skills with them, they call me a teenager, whatever that means. But if not, I at least hope that it will also have a very patient Sensei at my forever home who will help me finally master the art of the House cat for good, even if it takes me a little more practice. I promise I will do my best!

Story
Meet Boomer! Boomer is FIV positive. FIV is a lentivirus, a slow-progressing virus that can compromise a cat`s immune system, reducing its ability to fight off illnesses. The virus has a long latent period then progresses so slowly that it may never affect a cat. FIV is transmitted through deep bites between cats and cannot be spread to people, dogs or other animals. Boomer was part of a cat colony before being trapped and brought to us by a wonderful couple. After being surrendered, it was apparent he was in need of medical attention and was for a very long time before coming to us. Boomer has suspected nerve damage in his spine/tail and a fractured pelvis (suspected to be hit by a car) which has since healed and calcified. He has a “dead tail” which kind of just flops, however it is not causing any issues other than the odd time it gets in the way when he has a bowel movement. When Boomer arrived he was very quiet and shy. He would sometimes be aggressive if he felt threatened, however, has never attacked us. Boomer has done a complete 360 personality wise; this boy now CRAVES ATTENTION and literally can’t get enough! As soon as you enter the room, he is there to greet you. He also loves to snuggle with his friend Moroni; we often catch them in the cat bed watching the birds together! Boomer loves to be comforted, kissed, snuggled and pet, however, well supported when picked up due to his back injury. Boomer is currently on pain management medications to keep him as comfortable as possible with his injuries. He is also on a laxative to help things “move smoother” so he doesn’t have significant back pain when using the restroom, however, it’s possible this could be eliminated eventually. Additionally, he is on a joint supplement to help with his arthritis. Like most FIV cats, he is on a high-quality diet with daily Lysine supplement, and also takes every single one of his medications gladly in his food. Boom Boom boy does well with other cats (which is shocking because he wasn’t at the beginning) and may be fine with a cat or a friendly dog with proper introductions. He is very easy going and should be fine with calm children that are understanding of his injuries; however, his home has to be low-stress and indoors ONLY due to being FIV+.This friendly, affectionate and loving boy enjoys lots of pets, scratches and snuggles however sometimes doesn’t enjoy being picked up because of his bac

Meet Moroni!Moroni is FIV positive. FIV is a lentivirus, a slow-progressing virus that can compromise a cat’s immune system, reducing its ability to fight off illnesses. The virus has a long latent period then progresses so slowly that it may never affect a cat. FIV is transmitted through deep bites between cats and cannot be spread to people or dogs. Moroni was found in the alleys of Gananoque behind the popular restaurant in town. He was completely bald and had clearly been in need of immediate medical attention for a long time. Mr. Moroni has since grown his soft beautiful coat back and could walk around talking about it all day. This boy is extremely talkative, especially when toys are introduced; he definitely has a playful side! He also genuinely enjoys feline companionship and is often caught grooming the other boys in his room. Moroni does well with other cats, and may be fine with cat friendly dogs, assuming introductions are done appropriately, as he is very easy going. He should be fine with children, however his home has to be low-stress and indoors ONLY due to being FIV+. Moroni is currently on no medications however a high quality diet with daily Lysine supplements. This friendly, affectionate and loving boy enjoys lots of pets and snuggles however doesn’t enjoy being picked up. We believe this will change as he gets more comfortable in his perfect home.

Story
Sasha is an 8 year old beautiful cat, she has grown up with young children- who are now teenagers. She has lived with grown dogs and puppies and plays well with all. She enjoys the company of her family, and always loves to be in the room but not necessarily on your lap. It breaks my heart to rehome her, but I’m fleeing a domestic abuse situation and need to rehome her now. I would love for her to go to a nice home.

Story
Meet beautiful Rosie! There is no doubt, Rosie is the Queen of her household. This beautiful girl wants all the attention, so much so that she thrives much more as the only pet in a household or with a quiet dog. Rosie does not like other cats and is slow to warm to new people. Once comfortable, this flirty girl lets you know what she wants- from her happy, hungry chirps to remind you it`s breakfast time, to the fanciest somersault roll to show her belly. Rosie will bring endless amounts of smiles and long cat stretches into your life. She is a shy cat until won over- but once she gives in, she is a wonderful companion. She has the best manners and we assure you she is a refreshing change from a curtain climbing, mischief seeking cat! Rosie does have a sensitive stomach and can be prone to constipation so she is on a veterinary high fibre diet and over the counter laxative to keep her regular. She also has a heart arrhythmia which requires medication to help prevent any complications. Anyone who adopts her would need to continue with this treatment. She takes her medication well mixed into her wet food, making administering it quite easy!If you think this pretty little girl makes your heart skip a beat, apply online today! Rosie is spayed, up to date on core and non-core vaccines and microchipped. Rosie was declawed prior to her surrender.
