Unfortunately, due to a very sad set of circumstances, Leila's owner was no longer able to care for her. So now, Leila is here, with new people who she doesn't know. And she's not really a "People Person"!!Leila would like an adult only quiet home with no other animals. She would do best with experienced cat people.Leila loves to lay on the couch and relax. When living with her mom, she really enjoyed pets and rubs around her face and neck. She allowed her mom to pick her up and brush her. She will come to you but does not want attention when she's not in the mood. We all know someone like this right?! It's not really that uncommon! At only 9 years young, Leila has lots of life and energy and really likes playing with toys. Leila will warm up to someone new given time. She is not enjoying being here at the shelter. She needs to go home.Since arriving at the shelter she is definitely coming around to the staff and being more patient with us and more tolerant of her kennel being cleaned. She really likes treats and can definitely be bribed to like you using Temptations!!Leila will let you know when she's not happy, she gives you plenty of warning! She's good at communicating her feelings. Hi I'm Ace, I'm a big softie! I just love people. I adore attention, crave cuddles, thrive on tenderness. My favourite thing is when people come to see me and give me lots of rubs and snuggles. I will rub up against you and nestle right in for some neck rubs and cheek scratches. I'm a social butterfly and I dream of having a loving family to call my own. Ace is a beautiful cat, inside and out. Unfortunately Ace has gone through a bit of a hard time and wasn't in the best shape when we got him in. Ace is diabetic. Like in humans, these days diabetes is easy to deal with. Since arriving at the shelter, Ace has done so well and is now healthy and is being treated for diabetes and is doing amazing. He looks great and feels great. Ace requires an injection of insulin in the morning and evening. He is such a good boy, he is literally one of the sweetest and most loving cats we have ever had. He is no problem to inject. It's a tiny needle that goes into the scruff of his neck with a tiny amount of insulin. He lets us do it no problem at all, hardly notices! He has such a gentle temperament, he is always happy and so affectionate. He loves kisses and cuddles and nudging his head into you to show his love. He's so laid back and is content just to be around you. He likes playing with toys, but cuddling and getting rubs and scratches are his favourite things! You know when he's really enjoying it when he drools. It's very endearing! He's the cutest.Ace truly truly deserves a second chance. He's the best boy and we all love him here at the shelter.
