Domestic Shorthair kittens & cats in Port Hope, Ontario

Purchased as a kitten from Humane Society 5 years ago. She is a curious little girl and a quiet home where she is the only animal would be ideal as she is only acustomed to adults. She is very inquisitive liking to know what you are doing....if you are looking in a drawer she is beside you looking too.....if you are fixing something she is beside you watching and helping. She reaches out to you when you are near, she is a sweet little girl that enjoys sleeping with you. Unfortunately my other 5 year old female cat and her were spooked by something outside, since then they have not got along and we have to keep them separated. She is an indoor cat with excellent litter box manners. She does need portioned meals as will overeat if free fed. She does get along with son's Labrador dog but unsure if she would be okay with constant exposure.

Valerie will need to remain on her current Hills Prescription Diet C/D Multicare Stress, both wet and dry, as she has previously had sporadic bouts of hematuria due to stress. Since Valerie has left the shelter and entered our care she has not had any occurrences at all in her foster home. We have added in a variety of wet foods to give her more options. She will require measured, timed feedings as she is currently the perfect weight and size. Valerie would enjoy the company of a similar personality friend with slow and proper introductions. Her forever home and family should be a calmer and quiet environment. Kit is a beautiful 11 year old cat who was surrendered. She was very nervous about being in a new environment but she's settled down and is very sweet. She's still a little shy of new people but she's definitely looking for love. She would do best in a quiet, laidback home where she can feel comfortable and safe.
