Story
I adopted midnight from brightside shelter in the fall of 2020 when she was an older kitten/young cat. She was rescued from the fires over the summer and was recovering from burns on her paws, whiskers, fur, nose and tips of her ears were burnt off and ear infections. She was shy due to her not feeling great, but we nursed her to health and saw her bloom into a sleepy, silly and very loving cat. When we have company she hides then warms up and is obsessed with love. She loves all ages of people and has never had bitten or scratched anyone (even if a toddler is a little too rough with her). She is solely an inside cat and litter box trained. She looked with another cat and a tiny wild dog for the first few years of her life and did great with them, although timid around the dog and very playful with the cat! Our family has further developed allergies and are no longer able to give her the love or attention we know she deserves. I would love for her to find a calm affectionate family.

These pups are in Redmond, Oregon too!

Story
Ocho is a social cat, he is not skittish around people. He may be part “Bombay”, and Bombays are know as social cats. We did have another cat until a couple years ago, but she passed away. They more or less tolerated each other. He loves to be brushed, and is a good eater; has never been picky about food. He was declawed when I got him almost 13 years ago but always went outside. Now he enjoys going outside when it is nice and sleeps on the patio or under the bushes in my fenced in area. I am moving across country and I know he would not do well traveling that far. I am very hesitant to give him up, but I do believe he will be happier with a new home in this area.
