My name is Lion. I am a healthy 8 years old male grey tabby with white and dark stripes.I am a special cat, I have two sets of ears. I have one sibling that I get along with (shaddow). I enjoy playing with toy wands, and crinkle balls. I love to lounge on blankets and up high in my cat tree. I love walks around inside the house. I love treats. I enjoy solving puzzles to get my treats. I like quiet spaces and enjoy children above the age of 6 years and that are gentle. I like gentle dogs, and a rubber maid bin for my litter box (it has lots of room and i like it). I am litter box trained and carrier trained (when going on trips, please cover me and carrier with blanket, it keeps me calm).I also enjoy looking out windows at wild life. I am a calm cat that enjoys to take it easy and would like to call your home my forever home. What's not to love about a gorgeous Orange Tabby boy? We are known to be extra loving and sweet. My foster and everyone who meets me think I am the Bestest Orange boy that they have ever met. My new name is Rusty. I lived in a house with my black and white tuxedo kitty friend. One day our family left the house, left us outside and never came back. The people next door started feeding us food and water and we were sothankful that they did. A nice lady came to the house and talked so sweetly to me and to the people next door. I guess they told her about me being alone for a long time. She picked me up and brought me to another house with a very kind and loving person who cleaned me up, gave me good food and let me lay and sleep on her bed. She is called my foster mom. I wasn't sad anymore or lonely and now I feel peaceful and secure. Both of these ladies tell me that I am a very handsome and sweet orange tabby boy. They took me to another lady, called a veterinarian, who gave me all the shots that I need and tested me for FIV and Leukemia. Those tests were negative. The vet told the other 2 ladies that I am very healthy. They all say that I am a confident and loving cat with a strong facial features and beautiful affectionate eyes. My foster mom has a dog and cat and we all get along. I love to cat nap in a cozy secluded place during the day and play or sleep with my nice lady at night. I prefers to sleep near her head but will sleep at the foot of the bed. Need a sweet snuggler when you are sleeping???? I like to walk around her house with her and she says I am loyal. And that I seem delighted to be an indoor cat and that I make her home warmer and happier. She taught me to love being picked up. My name is Artie. My foster Mom changed it from Ninja because I reminded her of a character from Laugh In. Like Artie Johnson, I like to sit behind a plant on the screen porch. She imagines me saying his line, “Very interesting, but stupid!” Because I am the quiet type and like to observe, she thinks I am smart and clever. I am a very low maintenance kitty. At this time, I am not much of a lap kitty but if you pick me up and put me on your lap, I won’t fight. I have never been aggressive - No scratching or biting..ever. My foster mom can even trim my nails. I get along with other cats because I leave them alone. I am starting to relax enough to play with a laser toy and the cat dancer. I eat with the other cats. I used to wait until they were done. I LOVE Churu treats, the screen porch and watching squirrels play. I am so grateful to have a safe place live. This litter of all black (5) kittens was abandoned at a volunteer’s home at a very young age. We are grateful to our foster homes who stepped up to love and care for them to get them ready for their spays, vaccinations and new lives. They won’t be ready for adoption until the first week in September, but we are posting them to find potential homes so they can go straight from foster care into a loving home. These are the CUTEST sisters. They are all extremely cuddly, loving, playful and have now had extensive exposure to kind humans, so they really like people! They are deserving of a lifetime of love and care. We highly recommend they go into a home with another cat-friendly cat or kitten or each other. There are two others in the litter who will be posted soon. We are a small, caring group of volunteers and home checks (which can be done at the time of the adoption), for the safety of the cats, are a requirement of adoption. Truman and Barkley are two incredibly sweet and affectionate kittens whose pregnant mother was abandoned on Daufuskie Island. AAC is helping our Daufuskie friends find these incredible boys a new home. They have been raised in a loving foster home and adore the home’s other cats and dogs. Their foster mom says that they are among the nicest and most even-tempered kittens she has ever raised. They are loving and playful, litter box trained, and have already been neutered, tested for feline diseases, and vaccinated. They are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Together, let’s find these special bros a home! Please note we are a small group of caring volunteers and home checks are necessary to insure the safety of the cats.
