Halo was found giving birth in the rain on top of a wooden crate. A wonderful man rescued her and the 5 babies bringing them inside, giving them blankets, food and water. He then called animal control only to be horrified when they told him 'yes, bring them in, we can euthanize them.' He replied with 'Oh yes, let's do that. The babies are only 4 hours old.' Halo who was a dumped pregnant cat has only 4 babies left as one died shortly after birth. She has been an absolutely wonderful mother, but sadly mothers rarely get adopted as everyone wants a kitten. Halo is not a lap cat but if she had a home where there was a lot of love and patience, I am sure she would eventually let you touch her. Halo is not aggressive. She is just scared because people in her past haven't been exactly very nice to her. Please help us find a great home for Halo. She has truly been an Angel with all that she has had to endure so early in life! She is loving, playful, curious and plays well with other cats! Other cats love her but we believe she would be fine without a companion.Honeysuckle (Tabby) needs someone with a lot of patience because she was not treated very well by humans early in her life. Once she decides you are okay?, she will crawl into your lap and love and roll on you as if you were made of catnip!Once she gains your trust she LOVES to be right up against you or in your lap when you are watching television. It is her way only!. Unfortunately, you must have a lot of patience with her as she can be very destructive. You cannot correct her, you can only try and convince her that whatever she is doing is not a good idea. If you try and correct her, you will only make her skittish and leary of you which is totally unproductive.Ellie insists on sleeping with you every single night. Mason plays well with his brother Mario and other cats. He is so wanting affection and will actually cry at you to get a petting.Mason has such large feet that they look as if they belong to another cat because he has not been eating like he should.We discovered this boy has an autoimmune disease called stomatitis. He had been in so very much pain for so long with his mouth. He recently had all his teeth removed in hopes of clearing the disease but that has not happened.Recent studies indicate that the auto-immune disease, stomatitis is most likely caused by fleas. Fleas can carry all sorts of nasty diseases and parasites. It is most likely that before Mason came to us he had been bitten by a flea infected with hemobartonella, which in turn triggered the auto-immune disease stomatitis. We are currently trying try stem cell therapy as there has been a case in California where it cured the cat from this disease. This is an expensive treatment but it is our only chance for saving his life. This disease is otherwise, neither manageable or curable. YET CONTINUED TO TAKE CARE OF HER BABIES!!Sky was born 1/15/2017 and is a Stunning Gray & White Tuxedo girl.This Beautiful Girl was abandoned with her babies, and was desperately looking for a safe place as the water was rising during Hurricane Harvey. As she put them on the porch one by one, a kind hearted lady decided to bring them inside her home during the storm. She contacted us to take them because her landlord said they had to go.Paws found a wonderful Foster Home for Sky and her babies until they could be available for adoption. This mother cat was ALWAYS looking out for her three little ones and is now needing a forever family of her own.Sky is very sweet and loving once she knows you can be trusted. She is also playful because she is still so young herself.11/02/2017 Update: Sky was spayed and microchipped today. However, we found that her story of being abandoned was not all that happened to her. She was shot, and not only does the bullet remain close to her spine, we could also see that part of her knee had been shattered, which is why her right leg splays outward. She also now has spondylosis of L7-S1 vertebrae. All of this had to be right before the flooding started because she is still healing. In spite of everything that happened to her, she continued to save and care for her babies! Sky was an INCREDIBLE MOM!!! Eve is a two year old brown tabby cat. We got her from Friendswood Animal Control a few months ago. She gets a bit anxious around new people, but once she gets used to you, she's very sweet and loves being petted and cuddled. A couple of weeks ago, she started urinating on our couch and seemed a little stressed after we had some family members over, so we took her to the vet to see whether anything was wrong with her. We were told that she had small crystals in her urine, so we moved her over to a urinary diet prescribed by our veterinarian. Though she's been better overall (less stressed, more energetic), she hasn't stopped peeing on our couch and carpets, and we have tried everything (cleaning the litter box more often, removing the lid, cat block spray, more play time, etc). We would like to move her to a house with an experienced owner who would be able to take care of her.

China was a starving feral kitten when I found her at about 6 weeks old. It took me 3 days to catch her. She kept running into the drainage ditches and wanted help because she kept calling to me but she was too afraid to come to me. Finally when she was under a neighbor's house she came out to eat the can food I offered her and I scooped her up and took her home. She is still fearful and doesn't like to be held. She is afraid to be around other cats and prefers her own space.
