One of these days these boots are gonna walk on home with you! Boots has been at the shelter for quite a while and has seen many of his friends go home. That hasn't broken his spirit though. He still enjoys lounging in the window soaking up the sunbeams with his kitty friends. She is a cute vivid orange girl with an interesting beautiful shorter nose...much like a British shorthair.  Her bestie is Jeremiah. (They are both fixed but make a great orange pair.) Chiquita loves treats as much as we love to gaze into that unusual face. Chiquita currently lives in the Kitten Playroom with other male and female kittens and gets along well with all of them. We started sharing Ubi when he was an adoptable young kitten. He's now a handsome 2 year old gentleman. Ubi is very loving with his human friends in the PAWS Cat Room. He comes to stand beside you or greet you and you can't help but hug that big boy! He makes friends with male and female cats. Sometimes you can hear the boys chasing each other having fun and shaking the playroom walls. Other than his first few weeks of life before coming to us and a few weeks in an adopted home, PAWS is the only home/family Ubi has ever known. He loves us. He trusts us. He knows the routine and most importantly the snack schedule! Ubi will adjust to a new home, he just needs a little patience and time. We recommend slowly introducing him to his new home. When you aren't used to a big space - a big space is scary. That's our version. Our Jeremiah has cute symmetrical markings on his face. His current best friend is equally orange Chiquita. Jeremiah actually asks for the volunteers to go into the kitten playroom to play with him - by his flirting and dancing around at the glass door. It's a deliberate and open invite. He likes play and treats - and treats and play. Jeremiah is one of the students in PAWS volunteers' Kitty Confidence School and is pretty near graduation. He's ready to continue his studies in a home. His sister has already moved into her own home and Jeremiah is hopeful! When little kittens don't get the human handling and loving while they are very tiny, it takes a while to learn that trust. Jeremiah and his volunteer friends have worked on that - and it shows.
