Story
Cupid is an adorable neutered male grey and white Domestic Shorthair cat. He is currently in foster care, and is available for adoption! If you are looking for a sweet, lovable and fun kitten, pick Cupid! Cupid was diagnosed as having a seizure disorder when he was a young kitten. As a result, he has to take daily medication which he takes in pill pockets. Luckily, he seldom has seizures now, but will need someone willing to keep up with his medication and vet visits. He has some vision and hearing loss from the seizures, but he gets around well and loves chasing those invisible rainbows and unicorns. Sometimes when he is playing hard, he gives little bites, so a home with no small children would be best. He adores other cats and dogs and would love to have a furry friend to play with. He loves to snuggle up in the hammock for a nap with his foster dad and would be a wonderful companion for someone who works from home. He is currently working on leash training too! Cupid is micro-chipped, current on vaccinations, and neutered. If you would like to fill out an application please do so at http://www.catscradleva.org/adopt Updated December, 2022

Story
Timber is an old soul in a big body! He can be a grinch sometimes but just like the grinch, he is secretly a lovebug. Some of his favorite activities include loafing beside his person, birdwatching in the window and napping. Even though he is almost 8 years old now, he still gets the zoomies occasionally when he is playing with his toys. Due to a bad experience, he would prefer a home with no dogs. He has been in a foster home with juvenile aged cats and has done ok, but he would really prefer to be the only cat in the house. He has a tendency to guard his stuff. This includes rising early in the morning and guarding his person while they sleep which is very endearing! He can be very shy and introverted when he meets new people and often bonds with just one person. His ideal home would be with someone who works from home or who is retired and is only interested in having one cat to dote on!

Story
Tuna is a beautiful, affectionate cat who has done an incredible job raising her kittens and is now ready to find a loving home of her own. Tuna has a socia and gentle personality, with a soft spot for snuggles and lap time. She's easygoing, and loves her quiet moments as much as a bit of play. Tuna would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loving, social cat to join their family but we believe she would do best with a male cat or as an only cat. She does great with respectful dogs. Tuna is currently being fostered in the Huntsville, Alabama area but is available for transport to an approved adopter. Adopters are responsible for the cost of transport. To learn more about Tuna or begin the adoption process, please visit our website at FORrescue.net. Story
Say hello to Iceman. Iceman is a sweet quiet young man who is looking for a patient home. He actually loves being in your lap but needs a home willing to give him time to settle in and who understands he wants to ask for attention vs receive it randomly. He absolutely loves other cats, particularly other friendly playful cats, and would make a great companion for another young cat or kitten. Iceman is a quiet shy cat who's had a rough life in his 1.3 years. Iceman was originally with FOR as a kitten, was adopted and when he was about 8 months, he was diagnosed with FIP. FIP is considered fatal, however there is an experimental treatment that shows a lot of promise and his adopters decided to get him started with it. Part way through the 3 month treatment, they decided to release him back to FOR, and he's been in a foster home since then. He completed his initial 3 months of treatment and completed a 3 month monitor period and he is as healthy as they come. Once the three month period is over with no relapse, he is considered cured from FIP, making him an #FIPWarrior and #FIPSurvivor. He is listed as special needs because of the FIP in his past, although it is not expected to influence him again. The initial stages of FIP treatment are very painful, so he has anxiety about being approached and being grabbed. He is very happy to approach you and sit on your lap and be petted, but he wants it to be on his terms. Do you have a special place for Iceman? He's alive thanks to his treatment, he's healthy as can be and he just needs a kind and patient home who understands his quirks. He's fully vetted, neutered and ready to move on (preferably to home with a cat buddy too).

Story
We know it's cheesy, but this sweet four month old tabby cat is named Tabby. She is a sweetie who is kind and loving, albeit a little skittish. She serves as a big sister to our other fosters, bathing them and snuggling with them. She is a super low maintenance girl, she just needs a warm lap and a quiet home to spend the day with. Is that you? Tabby is being fostered in Huntsville, Alabama. She will be spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped prior to finalizing adoption.

CLIFFHANGER IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO VA ONCE SHE IS ADOPTED! This is Cliffhanger, a lovely tabby/white small female kitty who was born around 6/28/2023.  She is very affectionate and playful. She loves NAPS.  If you cannot find her, she is likely snuggled up taking a nap.  The perfect work-from-home companion kitty.  She loves to play and loves all cat toys and is definitely loads of fun. She loves to find an open drawer to snuggle in and she is very inquisitive. She could probably be a single kitty, but would also do well with a friendly low-key kitty.  She has never been around dogs and is not recommended for a dog home. She is neutered, has had all age appropriate vaccines, microchip, and a confirmed NEGATIVE FIV/FeLV test.  The adoption fee of $295 also includes the transport to CT.  We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring her up north once she is adopted. If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website and complete an online application using this link: http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net.   Once your application is received and processed you will be contacted by an NBAR Volunteer.
