Girlie is believed to be a 2.5 year old 48 pound female Dutch Shepherd mix. She is heartworm positive and is on a slow kill treatment with Simparica Trio heartworm medication. Girlie is good with dogs and kids but has not been tested with cats. She is house trained and crate trained and is currently working on leash training. She travels well in a vehicle. She is high energy and loves to chase a tennis ball. Girlie is friendly, playful and cuddly and would be a great dog for active kids to play with. She loves to rough and tumble with other dogs large and small, loves belly rubs and treats. She is a very sweet girl and would be a great addition to any family!! Friends of Jackson County Animal Shelter Pets (FJCASP) is a foster-based rescue for dogs and cats. All pets are in a home environment cared for by a foster person who provides temporary care until the pet can be placed in a permanent home. Friends of Jackson County is an all-volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. If interested in meeting this baby, you can find an online adoption application at https://fjcasp.wufoo.com/forms/adoption-application/ Adoption fees covers spay/neuter, vaccinations, wormers and preventatives and range from $125-$150. All of our animals have been heart worm tested and are on monthly preventions. You can help save a life by fostering an animal from FJCASP. Roxie is a gorgeous full of love dog, she is intelligent responds best to one on one attention. Loves to be outside and exercise. Age: 1yr 7months Coat: black and brown I am going through very hard life adjustments right now. So to protect her, it's best if I can give her a good stable home.
