Mia is a friendly puppy who is full of puppy energy but also knows how to settle in the house. She is very smart and learns training commands and household routines quickly. Mia is crate trained and potty trained. She is in a foster home with two female dogs and one male dog and gets along with all three extremely well. She also adores her cat foster siblings, initiates play sessions with them, is gentle while playing with them, and respects boundaries given by the cats and the dogs in her foster home. Obie (short for Old Boy) is a sweet old boy looking for a comfy couch to call his own. He has a beautiful fluffy coat that he enjoys a nice brushing of. Obie is a quiet and dignified couch potato. He is fine with everyone but particularly loves men. He loves ear scratches and a nice snooze. Obie is currently on medication for seizures. He takes this medication twice a day and it has greatly reduced his occurrence of seizures. He takes his medications easily if hidden in cream cheese, sour cream or yogurt. Obie is house trained with a doggie door right now. He enjoys spending his afternoons outside relaxing. He can be scared by loud things like fireworks but has done well with CBD as needed for this very specific anxiety. Obie does not really care for treats or toys. Treats he has enjoyed for training include lamb roast, mashed potatoes and eggs. He thinks vegetables are yucky. He seems to have been new to dog food but has taken to it well with some patience. Obie currently lives with another large dog and gets along well with her. She will even snap at him sometimes and he will not really react. He simply wants to be her friend. We also believe Obie will be fine with mannerly children. He has met toddlers and takes care to not knock them over. When meeting cats indoors, Obie was excited but did not necessarily exhibit high prey drive. He allowed his foster mom to call him back as she removed the cat. When he sees cats outdoors he like to try to chase them, though this is true of most dogs (even those that live with cats). Meet Sister, this beautiful German Shepard female, is approximately 4 months old and weighs around 20 pounds, so she will be a BIG girl when full grown. She has medium to long hair and will need regular grooming. This sweet pup was dumped and abandoned in a park in Turlock when she was only 8 weeks old. Thanks to the wonderful lady who found her, she has been given a second chance at a happy life, and is thriving in her foster home! She is very active and gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home. She wants to chase the cats if they run, but is learning this is not okay. She is a little shy around new people, but warms up quickly. She hasn’t been around kids, but she should be fine with proper introduction. She is puppy pad trained and working on house training. Consistency with potty/behavior training is needed for her to grow up to be a great dog! Sister will be spayed on Aug. 20th, her vaccines are up-to-date, and she’s microchipped.
