Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Approximately 4-5 year old Esme is part of a pack of dogs that lived in the desert for several years after their owner died. A good samaritan visited the pack several times a week to make sure they had food, water, and shelter. Esme was rescued with a few others in September 2020 but spent almost a year in boarding since there were no open fosters. Finally, in the summer of 2021 Esme was able to get into a foster home.Over the last few months, Esme has been learning what it's like to truly be a dog. She loves napping and chewing a good bone. Esme hasn't been around kids before, but she is very relaxed and hasn't ever shown any type of aggression. She is very shy with humans and apprehensive of new people. On the other hand, she completely comes out of her shell with other dogs. She loves hopping around and playing with the other pups in her foster home. She is currently living in a foster home with other dogs of all sizes and ages, as well as cats. She hasn't had a problem with any of the other pets.Esme will definitely need a special home, with a family that will be patient with her while she continues to grow and learns how to trust humans. She will likely never be super social with humans, so a fairly mellow home with at least 1 other dog is ideal. Esme does enjoy walks and walks nicely on a leash. She is crate trained, but not house trained. If you can be that patient and loving home for this special girl, please apply to adopt Esme today.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 6, 2024, 10:24 pm

Story
April was rescues from AVAS high kill shelter, literally as they had needle in hand to euthanize her! We arrived in the nick of time to save her life. We personally adopted her on behalf of an adopter. The adopter then backed out and now April needs a forever home. April is a light brindle Dutch shepherd, she is up to date on all shots, microchipped, and spayed. April is a young adult, however the shelter did not know her exact age their estimate was between 1-2 years old. April super loving and playful once she gets past her scared shell. April will need time to decompress, feel safe, and loved. April is kennel/crate trained but desires to be a house dog. April has a kennel mate, who was also adopted at the same time who she mothers (he’s a puppy). April gets along good with other dogs, when they get to excited and over barring she does put them in their place. I have a 3 year old and while she is scared of him she is also loving with him. April will do well w/lots of ♥

Story
My name is Jessie. I was adopted as a puppy. The lady who adopted me was normal then. I was one of the first 13. She then started collecting dogs with physical issues. I only have 3 legs. I don't know I only have 3 legs but I do. Anyway, she became a hoarder. Another group of rescue ladies finally got animal control to go to the house. They found dead dogs and dogs living in horrible conditions. We were all taken. The rescuers found all the rescues that had adopted these dogs and returned them. I was there for another 90 days. I was one of her original 13 so she was able to appeal me. The judge denied her appeal and back to this rescue I came. You can look up the case if you google chandler 55 dog abuse case. My foster mom adores me. She knows I deserve a home with less dogs. I live to go in the car. I would love to just drive all day. I also love non salted In N Out patties. I love all my dog friends. I like to go out and run with them. If they get too annoying I just give them a quick growl. I am all about kissing my foster mom. My foster mom cannot believe I have not been adopted yet. She says I am the perfect traveling dog.

Story
Reddy is a very handsome boy with a brindle coat. Born @Oct 2019. He is a 45 pound Dutch Shepherd mix who is playful and energetic. He loves to run, walk on a leash, play with toys, and go in kiddie pools. He takes treats gently although he is possessive over is breakfast in his bowl but other than that he is not food aggressive. He came from a home where he and a very senior dog were not a good fit and the family chose to keep their old guy.  However, Reddy was 1 year old then, and with training he will smoothly transition to pretty much any situation.    *Note that young dogs and pure breeds are at the highest end of our prices.* Please find our applications and valuable information under  "Adopt a dog"* on our website:  *www.beaglesandbuddies.com* and email your application to beaglesandbuddies@gmail.com. Let us know your preference of appointment day/time and which dogs you are interested in and we will do our best to accommodate and email you the closest appointment available. Please allow us up to a week to get back to you. Most appointments will be Friday-Sunday, 10 am - 2 pm, for an hour. *Note bring any other dog/s and the entire family to your meet and greet at B&B.* A complimentary training manual is included with each adoption, authored by terristeuben.com. Check out her website - she is fabulous! B&B is glad to be open during the pandemic. We know the value and comfort of a loving pet companion and are doing our best to help the dogs and folks who need them. We update our website daily and are always rescuing, vetting, rehabilitating, socializing. &#226&#128&#139 Are you my furrever family? For further info on the adoption process, please visit our home page and check out the "Adopt a Dog" section, which has thorough instructions.  All our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and  fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a leash, collar, and all medical records.   Our prices are higher than the shelters' because we nurse the dogs through their illnesses and get them needed surgeries and dentals. We also spend time socializing. Furthermore, unlike shelters, rescues do not get financial aid from the government and must rely on donations, grants, and adoption fees. Our fees for adults start at $150 and usually go up to $750. Young adults that are high in demand may be a little over $750.00. For puppies and purebreds, we charge up to $1000. The lower end is for dogs who have been here a while. The good news is that, because rescues fall under the "charity" category, the fees for our dogs are officially donations and are therefore tax deductible. You can think of it as donating to a worthy cause and getting a dog in return!  Sponsor Me Beagles & Buddies must find ways to raise money so we can continue saving dogs. Your tax-deductible donation keeps our rescue kennel operating!  Hours Friday:  10 am to 3 pm Saturday:  10 am to 3 pm Sunday: 10 am to 3 pm Monday: CLOSED Tuesday: CLOSED Wednesday: CLOSED Thursday: CLOSED &#226&#128&#139 Weekday appointments may be available.  We are a small staff and do our best to accommodate your needs. **Note that during COVID, we are not holding open houses on any day. Please email us for an appointment and include your application (found on our website, beaglesandbuddies.com, under "Forms"). Most appointments will be Friday through Sunday, though other days may also be available. We usually schedule one appointment per hour. Allow 1-2 hours for your appointment. Please look at our website and make a list of one or more dogs that you would like to see. Story
Sofi was found wandering around our yard one summer ago. Despite stapling posters all over the place to find her owners, we had no success. Feeling bad about the idea of letting her continue on with her journey as a lost dog, we took her in. She immediately got along with our dogs and felt like a great companion. As of late, we have been having a lot of financial difficulties and Sofi, unfortunately, has stopped getting along with one of our dogs. Unable to afford a trainer currently, we are looking for someone willing to love her as much as we have. She is such an athletic dog who loves long walks. She’ll let you know if she needs to go potty and she is a natural guardian through thick and thin. Sofi has played a large part in keeping our family safe as she has been very alert when people or coyotes wander our property. She keeps her distance but has always alerted us. Please consider adopting Sofi, she is both an amazing guardian and sweetheart.
