Story
Gorgeous girl looking for an active partner. I am currently looking to settle down with my life partner. I am a smart girl who knows what she wants, I love to exercise and catch frisbees so another fitness nut would be ideal. I love long walks and exercise but then love to chill and cuddle on the couch. I am playful and loving and an all around good catch! I am a 2-year-old Dutch shepherd mix.  Pickles enjoys playing with dogs her size and larger but does not do well with cats or small dogs. She does best with calmer dogs as she is a high energy dog and will need continued socialization and training.  She will make a wonderful addition for a lucky active family with older kids because of her energy! Pickles's adoption fee is $350 and includes her spay, vaccinations, and microchip. If you want to meet Pickles fill out an adoption application at www.pawprinthearts.com.January 15, 2025, 12:37 am

Story
4yr old Blue is ready for a new home! No fault of his own just needs more time spent with him. What a people pleaser! He's a huge goofball and cuddler who loves playing fetch. Very well manned in cage and on/off leash but is not house trained. Lives on a working farm around horses, cows and chickens so he's used to a busy environment but still has a prey drive. Will need socialization with strangers and other animals so a single pet home would be best at first. While he doesn't need someone with experience with the breed he does have aggression with the same gender dogs and will need someone who can work with him on that and give him plenty of exercise.

Story
4yr old Trigger is looking for his new home! Sweet and well mannered boy who loves to run and play! Not house trained and has some accidents in crate occasionally but is good in it otherwise and walks good on/off leash. Lives on working farm with horses, cows and chickens so is used to the fast pace but still has a prey drive. Same gender aggressive and a little more shy than his siblings he'll need someone to take the time to socialize him and continue his training. Single pet household is preferred at first.

Story
We love a good comeback story, and this guy is the definition of the comeback kid! 💪 Last week we shared our old man Dexter, a ten year old Dutch Shepherd who we’d recently taken in. We became aware of Dexter a few weeks ago after one of our vet friends reached out asking if we could help him. Dex was in bad shape and she knew he needed our help. When Dexter arrived to his foster home, our hearts literally shattered. Bad shape really was an understatement - he was severely underweight, missing fur, covered in bloody sores, one of his ears had curled down to half its size due to infection, and his spirit was quite literally broken. He was just a shell of a dog, but we knew we could get him fixed up in time. After only a day with us we started to get glimpses of the real Dexter - the Dexter who doesn’t spend his entire life in a crate, the Dexter who is loved and cared for, the Dexter we knew he could be. We have thrown every possible resource his way, and he truly is a different dog now. He is still on his healing journey - his skin has a ways to go and he still needs to gain about 10lbs - but he is LIGHTYEARS better than he was when we first met him. And so much of that is thanks to the generous donations from our L4P family!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Dex is a very typical Dutch Shepherd and please do not let his age fool you into thinking he’s just an old boy. He absolutely needs a family with experience with Dutchies, Mals, or other high energy, high drive working breeds. Dexter is not the dog for a first time dog owner, and we are in no rush to place him until we find the perfect family for him. He would do best as an only dog unless his family has the ability to give him individual attention. He is not a big fan of small children, but would be fine with late elementary school aged kids or older. Absolutely no cats or other small prey-like animals. Dexter is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and Heartworm negative. He is fostered in Parrish, Florida and his adoption fee is $250. If you think you might be the right family for our comeback kid, please complete an adoption application at the link below or email us at info@love4pawsfl.org! https://www.love4pawsfl.org/adoption-process

Story
1.5 yo female Dutch Shepherd/ Malinois mix, unaltered and zero health issues. Well socialized with other dogs, but would probably do best in a home where she's the only dog. Friendly social demeanor with adults and older children, unknown with small children or other animals. Medium/high drive, extremely intelligent and can be trained to do anything. Housebroken and basic commands already done.

These pups are in St Pete Beach, Florida too!

Story
College roommates didn’t want him, so they gave to my brother. He really doesn’t have a lot of time for him with his newborn, so I am hoping to find Statik a new home! He is a protector but once you get to know him he is very friendly!!! A good house dog and knows all commands, just wanting to get him the right amount of attention and affection. Not looking for any money for him, just owners who love doggies!
