This sweet little man is Charlie! Charlie came to us in rough shape. He was extremely malnourished and had a head laceration after being struck by a car and left on the side of the road. Charlie had a rough start to life but don’t let his hardship fool you, he is the sweetest boy and absolutely loves everyone he meets! His favorite things are playing with his toys and swimming! Charlie is a pretty chill dude but would love a family to bring him on lots of adventures. He has been introduced to a couple other dogs and loves to play with other friendly dogs. He has been around cats and would do fine in a home with confident cats. Charlie has meet some children and loves all the attention they give him. This boy enjoys being outside to play but tends to chew/eat sticks and rocks, so it is very important for the family to keep a close eye on him when he’s outside so he is not doing those things. Charlie is crate trained and doing well with his potty training, but occasionally has some accident still. Someone who is able to work on basic training with Charlie with positive reinforcement is important. Charlie needs a family to show him the good life and treat him like a real member of the family like he deserves, could that be you?    Charlie will be adopted under a spay/neuter contract. Charlie is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and dewormed! With an approved application Charlie’s adoption fee is $300August 18, 2024, 9:00 pm

***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org*** This pretty girl is Nova! She is the mom to the GSD/Mastiff pups. Nova came from a home of neglect for many years.  She is very much a shepherd in personality and an experienced and patient owner would be what she needs to thrive!  Nova is about 5 years old and for all of those years her life has lacked consistency, stability, a reliable food source. Even water was a resource that was limited.  She has likely not always been treated kindly either and training was not a priority in her life.  However, even given the challenges this girl has faced she is eager to love.  She very much wants to do a good job and she is excited to see the people that have shown her gentle loving attention.  Nova would probably do best as an only dog or with a confident gentle dog that could show her how things are done.  Nova is cautious when meeting people for the first time but warms up quickly. The shelter environment does cause her some anxiety but we feel she would do wonderful on a schedule in a home where she understood what was expected of her in an environment that was focused on physical and mental exercises.  She is gentle with toys and not destructive.  She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped.  Her adoption fee is 275.00 It is Nova's time to shine....she just needs the right home to help her on the rest of her journey to a happy ever after! August 18, 2024, 9:00 pm

***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org*** This special and stunning GSD is Molly Mae!  She is the mom to that goofy boy Kody and sister to Nova.  Like Nova, Molly has not lived a life in which she could rely on consistency.  No consistency in food/water, potty schedule, treatment or just about anything that helps a dog thrive.  At 5 years old, her life was full of unexpected disruptions from various people and animals.  There was no clean place to rest and life was always full of turmoil.  Molly is a gentle and sweet girl that has overcome the odds of a rough life and is very open to the kindness of caring people. Molly is ready for a home where there are expectations both from her and for her.  She is all shepherd and will thrive in an environment where she knows what is expected of her so that she can please her family.  Due to her past experiences we are adopting Molly as an only pet and a family that is familiar with the shepherd breed would be a benefit for her.  Molly has done a good job keeping her kennel clean and is very polite about waiting for her special food mixture (she's getting a little spoiled here!) She has a calm disposition and shhe is not destructive with her toys or blankets. Molly is up to date on vaccinations, spayed and microchipped.  Her adoption fee is 275.00  This girl deserves a brand new life full of all good things! August 18, 2024, 9:00 pm

Meet Aurora ***The first step in the adoption process is to go to www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org to complete the adoption application*** Hi, my name is Aurora! The humans also call me Rory. I am a young dog looking for an active home. The humans say I can't be much over a year old. I love to wrestle with the other dogs for hours. I like people and will snuggle sometimes but really, I just want to play and run with my dog friends! I have a naughty habit of jumping on people, but the humans are working on it while I'm here. I will likely need continued help remembering people don't want to be jumped on. I was adopted once before, and the people said I would get out of the fence and had more energy than was ideal for their family. Unfortunately, my pent-up energy led me to chewing some things inappropriately and jumping more and more. I do well in the fence at my foster home but I'm never alone. I can be cat tested again if my potential home has cats. but the first time I was in foster I was only curious about the cats and never hurt them. I do take a little bit to get comfortable with new dog friends. but once I'm comfortable we will play forever! I don't particularly care for other dogs getting into my kennel messing with my toys or treats. I am comfortable sharing scattered food and sharing toys though! My ideal home would be a very active home with another dog or two to play with! I will need help with leash manners but I am smart as could be so it shouldn't take long to teach me! I would likely be fine with older kids in the home that won't get hurt if I jump on them. I am house trained, and kennel trained. I also know some basic commands!  If you think your active home may be a fit for me, please submit an application so we can meet and see how we get along!
