Story
Meet Aaron, a 4-year-old spayed female Labrador Husky mix with a striking black-and-white coat, weighing 22kg. She’s an affectionate and social girl who loves people—whether she knows them or not! She eagerly approaches for pets and enjoys physical affection from both men and women. Aaron spent seven months in a foster home with a 9-year-old child, and while they developed a close bond (even snuggling in bed together) Once she feels secure, she’s incredibly gentle and patient. She’s comfortable being picked up and will roll over to show her belly once she trusts you. When it comes to other dogs, Aaron is polite and well-mannered, waiting patiently if another dog wants to sniff her. She’s more comfortable with dogs her size or smaller, as large, boisterous dogs can make her a bit nervous. She’s happy to engage in light play with smaller dogs but prefers to avoid high-energy dogs that play rough or bark excessively—she’ll simply give a warning growl and walk away. Though she coexists well with other dogs, she prefers human companionship the most. Aaron has not lived with cats, but she has shown some interest in chasing stray cats outside. However, she responds well to human intervention and will stop when called. With a medium energy level, Aaron enjoys outdoor activities but also knows how to relax afterward. She loves her walks and has plenty of experience on a leash. While she might pull a bit when excited, she’s easy to manage and generally follows her handler’s lead. She enjoys taking her time to sniff around, so expect a few stops along the way! She is fully outdoor potty trained and was walked daily in her foster home. Aaron is a quiet, well-mannered girl who doesn’t guard food and rarely barks. She’s calm in a kennel and enjoys resting in peaceful surroundings. She responds well to being called, and even young children can safely give her treats—she’ll wait patiently and take them gently. Even when meeting new people, she never barks or acts shy; instead, she happily approaches for pets and attention. Originally rescued from a city shelter, Aaron is also the mother of Bernie, a pup who has since found a forever home in Canada. Now, it’s her turn to find a loving family where she can be cherished for the sweet and gentle companion she is! Story
Meet Margaret, a 1-year-old spayed female with a heart as golden as her fur! This sweet girl is a delightful mix of Golden Retriever and Welsh Corgi, with the gentle, expressive face of a Retriever and the charming, compact body of a Corgi. Weighing in at 16kg, she’s the perfect mid-sized companion for just about any home. Margaret’s journey hasn’t been easy—she was found alone in a deserted field where she was sadly being raised for meat consumption. Thankfully, a kind-hearted local stepped in and got her the help she needed. Despite her past, Margaret is full of love and trust, eager to share her affection with the world. She’s a social butterfly who adores people, whether familiar or new. Margaret loves to nuzzle up to everyone she meets, happily accepting pets and belly rubs—even offering up her belly to strangers with zero hesitation. She’s just as friendly with men as she is with women, and although she hasn’t spent time with children under 13, her sweet, affectionate nature suggests she’d do great with kids. You can even scoop her up by placing your arms under her belly—though fair warning, she may flop over in anticipation of being picked up! Margaret’s friendliness extends to her fellow canines too. She joyfully greets other dogs, whether they’re old pals or brand-new acquaintances, and invites them to play with her cheerful energy. She’s so popular that some dogs can’t help but follow her around, but Margaret never minds. Even if a dog pesters her or tries to stir trouble, she simply walks away—no drama here! She especially enjoys the company of dogs similar in size to her and has a knack for making friends wherever she goes. As for cats, Margaret hasn’t lived with one yet, but she’s gentle and non-aggressive, so a feline sibling could be a possibility with proper introductions. Margaret has a moderate energy level—she enjoys outdoor adventures but knows how to relax once she’s had her fun. She absolutely loves going on walks and gets a little excited at first, which might mean some light pulling, but overall, she follows her human well and is a joy to stroll with. This lovely girl doesn’t guard her food from people or other dogs, has no separation anxiety, and rarely barks. She’s calm in a kennel, does her business outside, and is ready to bring joy, laughter, and lots of cuddles to her forever home.
