Story
Naomi is nearly 5 months old & weighs only 30 lbs. She is a most wonderful puppy! We believe, based on her coat and size that she is likely a Flat Coated Retriever, perhaps a mix. She doesn’t have a single spot of white on her! She is an active puppy and, of course, needs training. However, she listens very well and is always eager to please. Naomi was one of 3 dogs removed from a cruelty situation but, thankfully, she was in much better shape than the other two dogs that were removed. She was thin and just needed a de-wormer and some groceries! She’s a very happy, healthy puppy and she absolutely loves other dogs. She has not been around children, but ALL indications are she would be equally as wonderful with children as she is with every other living thing. Naomi would be the best addition to any family or individual who has the willingness to raise this smart pup to be the best dog they’ve ever had! FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea, Tick and Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. Thank You for Your Interest in Adopting a Canine Companion from Foccas-tn.org!My adoption fee (if picked up locally in Crossville, Tennessee) is $275. If transport is needed, his adoption fee is $575 (out of state, East Coast, Great Lakes or New England regions)LOCATED IN CROSSVILLE, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN. Story
Kourtney Female 36lbs ~7-8 months Terrier / Hound/ Lab...a true mixed breed! This is Kourtney! She is the sweetest most snuggly little girl. She is a little bit skittish towards new humans but once she gets to know you she is glued to your side. As soon as you get home or sit down she wants to be right there with you. She gets along great with other dogs and loves to run around and play with them. She is also happy to just hang out inside and play with her toys/nap. She is still young and is working on learning how the world works. She is almost house broken and doesn’t have any issues as long as she stays on a regular schedule. She does great in the crate while away. She still needs some work on the leash but seems to be very food motivated and is getting better day by day. She will make the most amazing addition to someone’s family. She would probably do best in a home that has another dog to help make her feel comfortable. Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). . It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Applications will not be reviewed unless fully completed. An application does not commit you to adopting and does not guarantee adoption but does allow us to begin the review process. Please email adopt@safehavendogsIL.org for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed. Story
Meet Chestnut! Hi there! My name is Chestnut, and I’m a 5-month-old male Lab mix puppy looking for my forever family. I’m cheerful, carefree, and full of energy—always ready for my next adventure! I made a big journey from Texas to my foster home, and while I’m still getting used to the cold, I don’t let it slow me down. I love romping around the backyard, playing roughhouse, and keeping up with the excitement of family life. I currently live with two teenagers and have done great with younger kids (ages 4–8) who visited for a few days. I enjoy making new friends—both human and canine! I’m a smart pup who already knows a few commands like “sit,” “no,” “potty,” and “treat.” I can get excited and may jump up to say hello, but I’m working hard on my manners and improving every day. When it comes to potty training, I’m almost accident-free, and I’m proud to say that everyone calls me a Good Boy! I’m also crate-trained—I go into my crate happily at bedtime and even enjoy naps there, especially if I have a cozy blanket to snuggle with. I have a high prey drive, which means small critters like bunnies and squirrels are prime targets for a good chase! Because of this, I’d do best in a home without small pets and with a secure yard where I can safely run and explore. When I’m not chasing balls or exploring, I love curling up on the couch for snuggles. My curiosity keeps me on my toes—I’ll pop up from a nap if I think I’m missing out on something fun! My foster family adores me, but they know I’m ready to find a home of my own—one that will match my energy, keep up with my playful spirit, and help me grow into the best pup I can be. Could that be you? Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). . Story
Meet Cinnamon! Hi there, I’m Cinnamon, a 4.5-month-old Lab mix with a heart full of love and a gentle, playful spirit. At 26 lbs, I’m a bit smaller than my brother Cobbler, but what I lack in size, I make up for in sweetness! My black coat has a sprinkle of white, giving me the look of being dusted with cinnamon—hence my name! I’m a bit on the timid side, but once I feel safe, my playful nature shines. I love playing with other dogs and always show respect to my older canine pals. Squeaky toys and a good game of tug-of-war are my absolute favorites! I currently live with dogs of all sizes, humans of all ages, and even a cat, and I get along with everyone. I’m crate trained, nearly housebroken, and eager to learn more. Praise makes my tail wag like crazy, and I’m always ready to earn a treat or two. I recently experienced snow for the first time, and wow, what an adventure! I love exploring, meeting new people, and making new animal friends. My ideal home could include kids, pets, or just a loving human who wants a loyal and fun companion. My foster family says I’m an absolute love bug, but I’m ready to find my forever home where I can continue to grow, learn, and share all my cuddles. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal, and playful pup to brighten your days, I’d love to meet you! Let’s make some forever memories together!
