Story
Hi, I'm Jack! I'm an 12 year old (mostly) Lab, looking to become part of a family and provide them with lots of love and companionship. My foster says I have a great personality and easy-going nature. I'm hoping to find a family that will provide a safe fenced yard for me to run around in, but I also enjoy long walks and do well on a leash. My foster will tell you how quiet I am, and while I don't like vacuum cleaners or the sound of lawn mowers, I'm not scared during thunderstorms or 4th of July fireworks. I do have to see my 'dog'tor a lot, but I am a really good patient! She calls me a lemon, but I just don’t see the resemblance to the yellow fruit. Unfortunately, I'm allergic to a lot of stuff, so I have to get allergy meds and shots, and I eat a special dog food. No matter how cute I make myself look, I do not get any treats, because my foster and 'dog'tor say they will make me itchy. I'm a really good boy for getting my paws wiped when I come inside, because the grass can make my feet itchy when my allergies are bad. Sometimes my ears get really uncomfortable and I have to get them checked, cleaned and medicated. I have had some painful infections in the past, so my ears can be sensitive. I'm housebroken and good about signaling when I need to go outside, but it would be great to have my own doggie door so I can go outside on my own. I’m embarrassed to say that I do have accidents on occasion; my old bladder can’t always hold it until I can get outside, so hard floors and puppy pads are my friends. I know and follow a few commands and I get along fine with kids, cats and kittens, but I'm not much for getting along with other dogs. Most important, I'm calm and loving and I very much like to snuggle! Even though I need a bit of extra help, I have more than enough love to give to make upfor it. My foster or 'dog'tor can tell you more about what I need to support me in my golden years. I'm one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet. I look forward to meeting you and showing you how much love and companionship I have to offer! Story
Hi I’m Jax! I’m a sassy, energetic, playful little boy. I currently live in a house with two dogs and a cat and I love playing with all of them! I’m pretty mouthy, but easily distracted by toys, especially the squeaky ones. I’m a very quick learner; it took me about a week to learn to notify my fosters when I need to potty by sitting at the door. I'm also kennel trained and comfortably sleep in my kennel at night. I currently don't get on any furniture, but I love to cuddle if you are wanting that. I especially love my fosters’ blanket basket. If you are looking for a fun, loving, puppy to keep you entertained, I think I would be a great match for you! Story
Say hi to Copper! Copper is a very loyal, loving and cuddly pup! He will snuggle in bed with you all night if he can, but he will also sleep in his crate. He is treat motivated and learns quickly. He knows the words sit, no, and go potty well. He knows to go potty outside and will go when directed, but doesn’t tell us he needs to go potty yet. If we are paying attention and let him out when he starts to wander, he won’t have accidents. He only needs to be let out once during the night, but he does want someone to be outside with him when he goes :) Copper has been around dogs, cats and caged birds and does fine with them. He loves to rough house and play with toys - his favorite toys are ones he can chew on and ironically, the cat toys! He will toss the cat mouse in the air and play fetch with himself. Copper would be a great family dog, but he is still a mouthy puppy, and would need to be supervised around younger children. If you are looking for a smart, spunky and social puppy then Copper is for you!
